1 month update

At this point I have some discomfort but no pain. There are still hard/tight but both sides are progressively softening and dropping at almost the same rate.
Bra shopping is a whole new adventure. I think you can only approximately determine what bra size you will end up with, but I realized anything beyond a D cup with a smaller band size (32) creates huge limitations in choice. I don't think many people think about this prior to breast augmentation. Victorias Secret has the best selection of sizes in DD/DDD. Right now I'm about a 32 DD but can fit into 32DDD with some bras. Also some 34D fit ok, especially in tighter fitting sports bras.
l will be back to my regular workouts (4-5) days per week now. I always lost breast size first when I lean out, so we will see what happens now!
I'm back to work full time massaging. I went back to work at the 2.5 week mark, but I would highly recommend that if your job is physical, 3 weeks is a good recovery time, and then ease back in your first week back.
I've been given the go ahead to workout, wear any bra I choose, sleep on my stomach or side (awesome), and I've been given silicone scar revision strips to wear for 3 months. I am choosing to sleep with a comfy, soft seamless sports bra on. I had sagging preop and want to hopefully prevent this by protecting the ligaments in the breast from being too stretched out with the larger implants now. This wasn't a recommendation, just a personal choice. I also have been using Stratamark stretch mark gel daily to help skin changes with the stretching and have been since day 3. Again, just a personal choice.
So, am I happy? My PS did an amazing job! I would highly recommend him. Am I glad I did it, yes. Do I still wish I'd gone smaller, yes. Not significantly smaller, but maybe 50 ccs less. I feel a top heavy right now still, but this may also be due to the fact they haven't softened yet. I honestly just started liking them at week 3 as they took on a more normal shape. It's just personal preference based on how I look and feel at this point, but its still way early to judge anything. Definitely I look more proportionate now, and looking back at preop photos shocks me because even at a month out I've forgotten how deflated I actually was! Huge improvement! Curious to see what the next few months bring :)

16 days post

Its been about 2 weeks since my BA and I have to say that in comparison to week 1 I'm feeling pretty great! I honestly wondered why I did this to myself the first week I was in so much pain.
I still feel tenderness, but no pain, especially first thing in the AM until I get moving.
I saw my insicions for the first time yesterday. For the most they look good and I can see they will be a fine line once time passes. In another 2 weeks I will be wearing silicone strips on the scars which helps with healing.
I seem to be dropping and softening a little more each day and at the correct speed. I was advised I do not need to massage them as my implants are textured.
My PS asked if I was happy with my implants. I do not regret having the surgery, I needed it. I replied that yes I am happy, but right now I feel huge!
Picking the right size is such a guessing game! I went with his recommendation based on his expertise. Looking back I'd probably go a wee bit smaller. 350-375, but its way too early to judge. Size is personal preference, and for me I would never want to have physical restriction or have trouble running etc. I never really understood why anyone would choose a size that is completely disproportionate to their body. Patience is tough and it will be months before I see the final result.
Really missing the gym! Feeling soft and fatty. I believe at this point I'm good to go at least do some cardio (nothing too intense).
Back to work tomorrow. Not sure how that is going to go as my job is very physical. Definitely mentally ready to go back!

1 week post op

It's been 1 week since my BA. Yesterday was the first day I felt somewhat normal and able to move more without as much pain. Having physical limitations is tough for me. Today will be my first day driving.
Waking up is when I have the most discomfort, probably due to being still and the muscle tightening. Feels better to get moving. Incision site stinging and side boob pain is the most uncomfortable at this point.
Today I noticed mild softening and finally a small amount of dropping. My right side always seems higher and tighter. I don't have a bandeau so wear a stretch tensor bandage around my upper chest at night (not too tight) and continue wearing my surgical bra for support around the clock, but release them periodically for about 20 minutes 2-3 xs per day. Also noticed my upper breast skin in a little shiny. This could be my skin stretching.
Right now I feel I have huge boobs. Takes some getting use to coming from very little.
