2 Month Post!!
Holy moly! Can't believe its been two months already. Wow. I feel amazing, as far as healing. I remember always wondering what recovery would be like compared to c-sections. Although in the days following my mini tuck (and bit of lipo he does with it) I thought wow, way worse!! But now not. The long term recovery is way easier! Because they are not going into major parts of the body it's much faster. I used to feel my incision area somewhat painful on the inside for up to a year after c-section and I can move my body almost as though I didn't have a surgery 8 weeks- with a pretty long incision!!
I started my P90X3 workouts three days ago and SO pumped about it. Psychologically feel that much better about my body as well as just general happiness from it. I still have some body image issues which to be honest, is interesting. I thought that that would completely disappear after surgery- it hasn't. Regardless I am so happy without the unwanted belly flap. Yay!!
Saw the doctor today for 2 month follow up.. He said things look "killer" so that made me happy. I also had a little consultation with the medical esthetician about the superficial skin stuff-stretch marks ... And I bought a derma roller!! Will try twice a week and see how that goes, hopefully tightens things further, and improves stretch marks!
I will have to post better after photos.. Maybe tomorrow but here are some...

My updates keep getting deleted.
So second time try and long story short I feel not too much different than last week. Although each day I feel a little better....
My work shift went well. My back hurt from just different movement but it didn't stop me from going to see my fav band afterwards and have a few drinks. Maybe not the best idea but was FUN! Remember fun.... :))
The lack of working out the way I want to is bringing me down a teeny little bit bit rationally I know it's a small price to pay and should be back at it before I know it. Can not wait to work out hard without belly skin getting in my way!!! And for summer!! Broken record, I know!
I think I will celebrate 4 weeks today. Starting with doing nothing except reading all day! Then maybe maybe a little date with my husband! He doesn't know it yet. But he should take me out!

3 week update
Am a little past 3 weeks and am feeling GREAT!!
Honestly, am surprised and thrilled with how well the recovery is going. I believe a lot has to do with the nutraceutical protocol I am on. I have very little swelling and my energy is as good as new.
I had my first post op on Tuesday and went well. The doctor said something that made me feel good about things and in general am feeling really good about my results! I still have moments, but structurally I am fixed! Just the superficial surface/skin that may need some follow up attention. Has anyone heard of derma rolling..? Will do some research.
I did my first post op workout today!!! Low impact cardio (never would be my fav-but takin it slow) and I was thrilled!!! One day at a time.

Amazing!! Have had consultation and I feel over the moon still!! Everyone in the office was super friendly and professional and Dr.Edelstein was gentle, friendly, professional, confident and funny! I feel really good about him as my plastic surgeon he has so much experience and credentials backing him up- I feel totally safe. I look forward to my surgery date!
