All Done.......

Had my last appointment today. Teeth are great. Can now have a picture taken and not have the flash reflecting off my tooth. Has been a long road but well worth the effort. You do get used to the liners and you do get into the routine of taking them in and out. You even get good at taking them out at the table. None really notices that you have them in.

The only thing I drink with them in is water. Gave up on tea as it was staining my teeth.
My Outie sticks were a blessing for my nails and the best thing for cleaning was half a Polident tablet for soaking the trays. They were still clean and fresh by the end of the two weeks. I found the first week I had to be strict and aim for the 22 hours a day , but by the end of the second week I could go a couple of extra hours if needed.

Good luck to everyone going down the Invisalign route. Stick with it.

Refinements

Finished on tray 24 and was told that I would not need to go to the predicted tray 28. It seemed like great news at the time. Did this mean that the end was in sight.....

Went to ortho today for new refinement trays only to find out that I will be having 6 buttons on top and 7 on bottom and 16 trays.

So its back to normal (yes, having the trays in is more normal than not having them in). Have spent the past 3 weeks with tray 24 in just 12 hours a day. Joy to be able to go out for lunch and dinner and not have to find the loos for tray extraction. I wore them more than the 12 hours as I found that by the end of the day my teeth felt better for having the tray in. It would be quite tight to put back in.

So now its back to the 22 hour program. Let's hope the next 16 trays pass quickly.

So looking forward to finishing.

Tray 24

Getting close to the end now. One more tray then hopefully the refinements start. Can't imagine the day when I do not have to wear them. When they are in I wish they were out and when out wishing they were in.......

It feels very strange to be able to feel the back of my teeth in a straight line.

As you can guess I am very pleased with the results.

It was lovely at my Daughters wedding the other week to be able to smile fully and not feel that the flash must be glinting off my tooth.

For all of those just starting, stick with it and make sure you get yourselves a good orthodontist.....
