Firstly I want to thank Dr Merten and ALL the staff for being so great and making the experience of my breast augmentation way less scary then it had to be. It overall was an awesome experience and I would do it all again tomorrow and wouldn't change a thing. From the first appointment to going under and waking up. It is the best thing I have ever done for myself.
From my very first enquiry Laura was the most helpful from all of the places I spoke to. I thoroughly did my research first online. I spent hours and hours reading about all the most talked about Drs in Sydney going through forums and websites. I made my decision to see Dr Merten first from my research but Laura sealed the deal on the phone. She was helpful and answered all of my questions and made me feel comfortable and gave me her time.
Seeing Dr Merten I knew he was the one. Dr Merten has a dry sense of humour and is straight to the point. No up-talking anything and he says how it is. Which I really appreciated. He was very honest in his appointments and I knew going into it my risks. He is also awesome at sizing you up. From my measurements he picked the ideal size and from my pictures together we achieved the perfect size (My biggest fear was waking up with boobs way to big). My incisions are almost invisible after 5 weeks and were almost invisible from the start.
The biggest thing for me is the actual surgery. Something I was so scared about and the whole process was actually enjoyable. And I put that down to the amazing surgeon I chose. He was gentle and so precise when drawing on me. I didnt have a thousand rules I had to follow afterwoods. It was simple. If it hurts, don't do it. 5 weeks into it and I am already sleeping comfortably on my tummy. I had no bruising. Barely no pain at all. Nothing like I had heard of or was expecting. A pain of about 2/10.
My poor deflated boobs (from the kids sucking the life outta them) are now perky and perfect! I still cannot believe I actually went through with it all sometimes, but I do not regret a thing and recommend Dr Merten to absolutely everyone I speak to. My husband and myself cannot speak more highly of him.
I also have to mention Renee - She has been a gem!!! She is always willing and available to talk. She makes you feel comfortable to ask any questions - dumb or not and is a great asset to the team. I loved having her email and being able to contact her about anything pre and post opp.
