I finally had my consult so I have a lot to update on and MORE questions ... of course!
I went to see Dr. DiBernardo in Montclair. Overall the staff is a little flaky but he seems very nice and they've treated "a ton" of patients so far. The OR coordinator told me they did 4 yesterday alone.
Regardless, I waited for awhile about an hour but be took time with me. As I said, my cellulite isn't horrible just dimpling on my butt a few streaks on my back tighs (mayeb down 3 inches at most) and a few dimples on each side of my thighs. I was voted a grade 2 small areas (which is up to 20 injections). Dr. D was kind enough to let me schedule on a trainign day even though my case isn't terrible and they usually reserve the training days for more advanced cases but it's a $900 discount!
Overall my cost was $3,300. I paid $1,000 down and will pay the rest on my second consultation on 5/14 and getting it done on 5/17.
My biggest fear was not healing fast enough as I'm a "jersey shore" chica and Memorial Day Weekend is right around the corner and the last things I need is to look like I have bruises all over my booty!
Regardless, I spoke on the phone with the OR coordinator today and she said I'll begin antibiotics a week prior. I inquired if anyone has had an infection and she said not to date at their office.
*I preface this comment with the fact that I have pretty bad health anxiety so I may ask some crazy side effect questions*.
Has anyone heard of infections?
Also, she said to drink PURE pineapple juice a week before and after and it cuts the bruising by half ... anyone hear of this?
Also, she said (unless I heard wrong which I MAY have) that they give you 2 Perks and 2 Vicodens before!! That seems like A LOT of pain meds!! I do not really want to take ANY. DO I have to?? I know some of you said you took 1 Vicoden and that was enough. Please let me know.
I will be driving after so I need to know! Any advice here let me know.
They told me post people don't take pain pills any days after since the "pain" really isn't bad.
Has anyone ever heard of blood clots or any SERIOUS side effects with this? Sorry again, they OR person said no but I just wanted to make sure! I'm 23 and gave them my latest bloodwork so I should be okay.
If anyone could go more indepth with the actual prodecure right before, prepping, antibiotics, side effects, pain pills, actual pain, bruising, etc.!!
THANK YOU ALL IN ADVANCE :)
I just want to make sure this is the right decision ... no turining back now but reassurance is always good!

I went for a consult with Dr.decorato of staten island to treat my pretty severe cellulite. He said I'm an excellent candidate and that I should have a wonderful result. I can't wait since this is currently my biggest body complaint. I am scheduling the procedure for next month

I'm so excited for you!! Which areas have you decided to have treated?
Well I can not wait to hear how it goes!!! Are you nervous at all, or just completely excited?
Oh my goodness - praying with you!! I know what you mean about hoping it is as good as it sounds. It is hard not to be skeptical, but it seems very reputable doctors are saying this really does work - so how can we ladies plagued with the lumpy stuff not be thrilled to try it?!!
I spent 2 k on velashape and finally heard about cellulaze. HOLY SH*T. I went to doctor Bruce Katz in manhattan. And they say it takes 3 months to see the full results. It's been 10 days. AND IT'S GONE it's the best thing to have ever been invented. My email is g********5@***.com. I have some extra tips
That's awesome you results were so good, what did the treatment cost?
Thanks!
grlygerl25 if you have extra tips you should post them here for all of us to see - we would all love to hear!
Do you have any photos of the before and after? If so, I hope you can post them :)

chiefette, I'm so sorry to hear you are feeling discouraged. I don't blame you, but hopefully like maresey56 said its just a matter of giving it the time it needs, so hoping, hoping, hoping that is the case for you both!! Please continue to keep us updated. Its so important that we hear from people who are experiencing different things with the procedure.
Sending you a hug & hoping things start to improve.
