day 3

I slept ok in my own bed last night. I was glad that I bought a large V shaped pillow because it supported my back well amd stopped me from slipping down. Trying to sit up in bed was the tricky part though. It took a bit of time but I managed to get up but then could feel the gravity of my breasts pull down and it felt like my stitches would break. It stung more then anything. I took my pain meds straight away and placed some chilled cooler pads over my incisions and the pain subsided.

My implants still look to be sitting quite high and the bottom section of my breast hasn't filled out much yet. My breasts were swollen before I had the op as I am due to stsrt my period anytime soon so maybe once the swelling has reduced then they will drop a bit then.

Day 2 post op

Well It took me ages to get to sleep last night, partly due to the fact that I had slept through most of the day anyway but also the air boots I have to wear keep getting my attention. Every few seconds it feels like someone is squeezing my foot and can be quite distracting.

Then the nurse came in my room at about half 2 in the morning to check my blood pressure. It felt like I had slept for ages and had to ask if she meant it was half 2 in the afternoon. I managed to get back to sleep again by woke this morning at half 5.

I now know what morning boob is and yes it's bloody painful! Luckily my bed is adjustable so I was able to sit up, it would of been a big struggle with out it. I got out of bed and washed my face, put a bit of make up on and I feel a bit more with it today. I am still on the pain killers, to be honest I am still in pain but as long as I stay still then I am am fine.

Just had a lovely breakfast in bed, it's felt like I have been staying in a hotel rather then a hospital and it has been nice to have a room of my own where I can recover in peace. I would definately recommend the spire hospital in Cardiff to anyone looking to have surgery in the future.

I had my final meeting with Mr Hiew just now, he is happy with my results and I am due to meet up in a weeks time to have my dressings checked over. He gave me the opportunity to ask any questions that I may have and advised that I could have a bath if I wished but to just keep my dressings dry.

I am waiting for the nurse to bring me my medication then I should be for and ready to leave! I am looking forward to getting home to my dog baby and to spend some time with my lovely man. He's been good as gold, acting as my taxi, bringing me food and treats and has listened to me banging on about boobs for the past few weeks! I'm looking forward to getting home and trying on all my clothes to see how they look, and to try on my nice lingerie that I struggled to fill before. I feel like a new woman!

Day 1 with new boobs!

Well I made it! I now have my new boobs and am really pleased with how they have turned out so far. I underestimate how painful it would be but the mixture of paracetamol, tramadol and Valium is definately helping. Since returning from surgery I have slept for most of the day, had a coffee and some toast and feel a lot better for it.

We decided to go for the 400cc high profile silicone implants under the muscle. I wasn't planning on going that large to begin with after trying them on for size before hand they gave me the appearance that I was looking for. My dream boobs are Michelle keegans boobs, I know she's not had implants but I like the way they look in proportion to her body. I hope that over time mine will drop and soften so they don't look like torpedoes!

Provider Review

Mr Leong Huiw

He was really thorough and talked me through the risks, tried a few sized implants to see how they feel weight wise, and discussed whether to go above or below the muscle. I think I want to go below the muscle as I dont have much breast tissue and would rather a natural look, however I do worry about the implant being pushed to the side whilst weight training.
