Okay, so I've decided to take the plunge! I've always been a curvy girl, but after 2 beautiful girls my belly went SOUTH! It's like there's a magnet pulling this horrible gut toward the ground. I've picked up a new work out regimen and decided that I don't want this belly to follow me into my 30s ( turning 30 in August). For me, I know there will always be this overhang that diet and exercise alone, won't cure. So, I started calling around looking for quotes for a tummy tuck. I'm a hefty girl at barely 5 feet and weighing 195. I was very nervous that no doctors would take me at my size, but to my surprise no one declined to work with me (SCORE!). I talked with 4 doctors including one in Miami, before deciding to go with Dr. Bullis in Seattle (I'm from Seattle and decided it would be best to stay near family with a surgery of this magnitude) . Living overseas in Japan has made this even more of a challenge trying to line up dates and times to talk, but I worked it out. I'm having a full avelar tummy tuck with micro body contouring of the hips on June 24. I am sooooo excited! Yet nervous at the same time. I want to lose 30lbs between now and June 24. Wish me luck!

Supplies

Ladies,

I need to start buying supplies for my surgery. What are some must haves to help with recovery? Also, where to buy/ what style is the best compression garment?

Creeping Up

My surgery is in about 3 weeks, and I'm sad to say that I haven't done much to lose weight like I planned. I wanted to lose 20lbs before surgery. I will be lucky to lose 5-8 at this point. I feel really discouraged.Womp, womp. I guess I'll just have to focus on what I can do in the moment to make this a success. What are some good plans to help shed some pounds when you're down to the wire?
