One month post-op: 20 lbs lost

At exactly four weeks from surgery I am down 20 pounds! Things have gone very well and the only thing that I am still struggling with is to learn to eat small bites and chew thoroughly. Not doing so makes it seems like I have something caught in my throat. I love food and I am usually so excited to try delicious food that I forget I have to eat slowly and I end up eating the first 3 or 4 bites as fast as I used to and then I have to sit for fifteen minutes or so until things settle down. I will get the hang of it eventually! I have been travelling a lot for work recently and haven't done much exercise other than walking. Once I finish my next international trip on November 14 I will be heading back to the gym and the trainer I used to use. I am 179/180 now and my goal is to get to 165 by the end of the year.

Down 8 pounds

Day of surgery weight: 198
Day after surgery weight: 205
Day 6 weight: 190

Wow, after a year of my weight doing nothing but going up for seemingly no reason, I am incredulous every day now to get on the scale and see the numbers going down. I keep checking the batteries in the scale to make sure they are working correctly and putting my 10 pounds weights on it to check calibration. Unbelievable!!!
