I am writing a short review because this site...

I am writing a short review because this site helped me get ready for this change. I have a similar story to many others, major back pain, headaches and shoulder grooving caused me to finally go to see the Dr regarding a BR.

I was lucky to find Dr. Turkeltaub through this site and he was amazing. My insurance covered the procedure fully even down to the compression bras so the decision to move forward was a no brainer.

The day of surgery I wore yoga pants and a zip up hoodie. This was super easy to get into after the surgery. The Dr said he took 750m from the right and 600 from the left and I will be somewhere between a full C and a D (depending on bra manufacturer). I also paid out of pocket for arm lipo and I am so glad that I did that.

I was on the drive home from surgery at 5 pm. I went straight to bed and then woke up the next day and the pain was really tolerable. I only took the pain meds at night for 3 days. During the day I took tylenol and it was fine. My Dr avoids the use of drains which I appreciated! . Surgery was Friday and I went to the Dr monday to have bandages removed and compression bra fitted. I was given two bras which was great to have the ability to have a fresh bra every day. I am still wearing it 24 hours a day even though he says I can sleep without it.

5 days after the surgery I suddenly had sever chest pain and sharp pain in my abdomen. It was after 5pm so I tried to live with it but finally my husband talked me into going back to the hospital. It was a smart choice by him to take me back to the same hospital where I had the BR as I was admitted that night. Turns out that I had a disinegrating gallbladder. After medicating me for pain and starting a new antibiotic I was now in the hospital for what would be another 3 days. I was released the following Saturday after having my gallbladder removed. It has been a wild few weeks.

I have to say that luckily the BR was so stress free and with NO complications, it made the gallbladder recovery so easy. I am now exactly 3 weeks out from the BR and I have slight tingling every once in a while and that is it. The ONLY bad thing about the BR experience has been sleeping on my back. I am so over it but understand that it is a necessary evil. I did not take many pictures. The ones below are the before and 10 days out. Then another from a couple of days ago. You can see my incisions (4) for the gallbladder surgery too - I look like a medical experimental cadaver!

Dr. Turkletaub is amazing. His staff is so friendly and efficient. He was very approachable to answer questions and take care of any concerns. Day of surgery he spends a lot of time measuring and drawing and again answering questions. He has exceeded my expectations in every way.
