I am biracial and was born with a bulbous nose. I also had a hump on my bridge and would often try to hold my head at certain angles when talking with people to downplay the roundness of my nose. I felt that my nose just looked so masculine and needed a little refinement. I went to several doctors in Houston who explained that my thick skin would make it hard to get the results I wanted, but they could improve my nasal shape as well as remove the bridge hump. The surgeons I spoke with gave me price ranges from $6000-$8900.

That's when I emailed Dr. Rosenstock in San Jose, Costa Rica and asked what his price would be for my nose. I sent him 4 photos (front, profiles and upshot) and he said that he could refine my nose though going as thin as I originally wanted would be impossible due to my thick skin. He assured me that the result would be natural and said the cost would be $2800.

I was familiar with Dr. Rosentock's work because 3 years ago I backpacked through Central America with my boyfriend and had a boob job done by his partner, Dr. Cohen, for $3200. My breasts look great and have received many compliments from friends!

I flew to San Jose on 1/7/14 and stayed at Las Cumbres Inn (love you, Elkie!) because this time I would be alone in Costa Rica and wanted people to take care of me. Dr. Rosenstock is a pro. I met so many Canadians who travel down to CR just to get work done with him. This man performs many surgeries everyday, his clinic is always full of Ticans and North Americans and the results that I've seen always looked great (this one woman I met at Las Cumbres had a facelift with him and I couldn't believe she was 72. Not lying, this lady looked 50!)

Anywho, with flight, surgery cost and stay at the inn, I spent $4550 and I was in gorgeous Costa Rica for 7 days.

Anyone who worries about plastic surgery abroad, I do understand. It seems like why would you leave the US to go to a less wealthy nation to have work done? But practice makes perfect and Rosenstock sees so many people everyday his results are much better than the surgeons in the US who charge 4x as much or MORE and work on fewer people. Plus, who normally wins Miss Universe? The Latinas. Where do they get their work done? Brazil, Columbia and Costa Rica.

Go with Rosenstock. He is the best.

P.S. My nose is still swollen and my low quality laptop cam may not show all the contouring in my nose post op, but it's definitely there and I'm very happy with it.

P.P.S. I will continue to post more pics as the swelling in my nose keeps going down.

Dr. Rosenstock is fluent in Spanish and English and is an amazing doctor. He was very kind and honest when talking with me and helped address any of my concerns. I really felt safe in his hands and enjoyed the care I received from his nursing staff post ops.
