I felt secure to stretch and get back to work with embrace sheets

man they were pricey but it was all worthed - i would put the sheets on and was not afraid that i would make the wrong moves and my incision was to break apart or get infected - going back to work was easy and i was free of worries. It was itching after a few sheets but i think that was just my bodys response in getting new skin - i had no rash and no complications i love these sheets - i have also used silicone sheets and they are nothing compared to embrace - embrace is stronger and it gives u security plus it shrinks and makes the incision smaller - i actually used a combination of the long one and the small ones but u can tell there was a small part where the incision is more red and stands out more - thats the part where the embrace was not long enough to work - but this is actual proof that they really worked well

3 weeks post op - I made it! I can finally stand straight!

I can now walk straight it feels so good my back pain is decreasing and my posture improved a lot - i have been trying for the past week to stand straight but i was kinda scared not to stretch my incision - i got embrace scar sheets and after that i felt more confident to do it and am now walking straight - wohooo it feels great
I get swollen by the end of the day if i do too much even tho it seems to me im not doing much at all - i have to be more patient and give it time - PS said swelling resolves up to 6 months.
Because of my hernia im not supposed to lift anything or any of the kids, its hard but i know its for my own health. PS used the tiger mesh for my hernia, its a new mesh that dissolves in 3 years but facilitates the growth of tissue in there so i won't get one in the future. I love that.
I love my new innie belly button :) today i tried on a 2 piece swim suit i never thought i would ever wear. I loved it it felt good and i looked good :).

Hours before and after tummy tuck surgery with hernia repair

Night before tummy tuck surgery - of course i wasn't able to sleep the night before, i stayed up and google and researched a bunch of articles about tummy tucks and what could go wrong, paranoia was settling in, i just knew i have to do it or i would regret it.

Morning of surgery - they didn't let me eat or drink anything past 10 pm and my surgery was at 6 am in the morning - i was super hungry and thirsty but i would forget about this a lot - when i went in the made me wear some not too sexy leggings that help with blot clots, hospital gown and my favorite pair of underwear - they made me answer a bunch of questions and i believe they evaluated my psychological and physical ablities

Meeting with the doctor - Dr James Chao was right on time, he was well dresses in a suit and tie, we went into the bathroom and started the markings, he explained where my incision would be how long would it be, he showed me how and where he will re-position the belly button so it aligns with my hips, he marked all the stretch marks i wanted gone and showed me which ones will stay and which ones will be removed

Going into the surgical room - now thats a feeling, you step in there and you have a bunch of deja vous and i started having second tought about this, everyone greets you like you and everyone is super nice, im getting even more scared - and then a hot looking guy tells me he will do the anesthesia and he pokes me with a needle in my hand - 3 seconds later im out

Waking up right after surgery - it felt like i was out only a few seconds when in fact i was out for 7 hours(i had full tummy tuck with a hernia repair and lipo and i had breast lift w fat transfer at the same time so my surgery was long), anyway i wake up and i ask the nurses if they saw me naked, i have no idea why i asked this dumb question, she answers "Of course i did we all saw you naked and then we saw you all opened up" she was super nice but i still remember this, and then i see my hubby smiling at me and i know everything will be okay

Driving home after the surgery - i might have missed some details in there as i honestly don't remember everything with the anesthesia and all that, but 8 hours later they let me go home, it was hard to get in and out of the car and the drive was not very comfortable.

Getting home after tummy tuck surgery - i wanted to sleep as soon as i got home i felt so tired, a couple hours later i woke up and i took my pain meds and i was super dizzy and light headed, my husband would help me get up and walk to the bathroom - i threw up 2 times after that, they do say that some ppl puke after general anesthesia - well i was one of them - my tummy hurt pretty bad i was praying not to puke anymore - this goes away by the next day tho

He knew exactly what he needed to do - i did everything he recommended and i love my results. He was patient, answered all my questions instantly, even the late evening ones or over the weekend ones. Exceptional plastic surgeon and i absolutely loved the fact that i had 24/7 access to him. The day of the surgery he assured me that i will look amazing and he was right, i love my flat tummy and my new belly button.
