Two Weeks Out from Surgery

Here is a quick recap of my surgery, and recovery time until now.
Day of Surgery I went to the Surgery Center, got prepped- took vitals, weight, made sure I wasn't pregnant haha, and then I saw the Doctor. He drew over my abdomen and making his markings for the surgery. I also met with the anesthesiologist and he was very nice, he actually had called me the night before to see if I had any questions or concerns. From there it was smooth sailing I was knock out and woke up about four hours later. I wanted to quickly get up and move. I knew the more comfortable I was sitting there I would want too! Ha! Within the hour I was cleared to leave, keep in mind I was wanting to leave definitely did not feel as though I was being forced out. They wheeled me to my car and even gave me a bouquet of flowers, very unexpected and nice!

Since my surgery was drainless I did not have to see the Doctor until 3 days later. My surgery was on Tuesday and I saw him Friday. They all (Doctor and Nurses) seemed very please with the results so far. That is when Dr. Rottler recommended an over the shoulder Spanx and I personally recommend buying several because they are hand wash and you will feel dirty wearing the same one day after day. I try to wear mine 24 hours a day. Dr. Rottler also recommended keeping up with gauze over the incision and making sure there was no exercising or moving really. Just very light walking and basics. He also told me to not step on the scale, I would be disappointed and to wait until about a month or so out. So I will update my weight and measurements then. I was able to get my shower 3 days after surgery on Friday after I saw Dr. Rottler. I had read some people feeling dizzy in the shower, I recommend starting with cool water and slowly raising the temperature. I had read on a medical website it has something to do with the blood flow and slowly increasing the temperature severely lowers your chance of dizziness or fatigue.
Two weeks out from surgery I went back to see Dr. Rottler. I was feeling great and even wore my high heels. Again, no increase in activity until the 20 day mark. At 20 days he gave me a walking regimen to put in place daily for 30 minutes. That is the maximum I can do until I see him again at the 5 week mark. They did notate I was still swollen where even though I really feel great, and think my stomach looks phenomenal I am happy to here it might get even smaller! I have been trying to watch what I eat. With not being able to move much you really can get into a bad slump. So I got a bunch of healthy slow cooker recipes for dinner, which gives me something small I am able to do during the day and try to eat simple breakfasts and lunch to keep in check.
At the 5 week mark I will update my weight and measurements since most of the swelling will go down by then.

I was very happy with all other aspects of my body...

I was very happy with all other aspects of my body except my entire abdomen. I wanted a nice fresh start since we are not planning anymore children.

I cannot say one bad thing about this doctor, his practice or his staff. Please understand even though I am young I have been through a lot and for this procedure educated myself as thoroughly as possible before meeting ANY doctor. His staff were well dressed, mannered and handled each client efficiently. The nurses were equally as engaging and assisted as much as possible through out the entire process. Dr Rottler himself was a complete gentleman. Very straightforward and down to business but appropriate in his bedside manner. What I liked most is if he would disagree in a procedure or option he would give clear explanation as to why and his personal experience with this. He shows great pride in his work and am so thankful I had an opportunity to be one of his clients.
