No pretty pics here

I will be four weeks post op in two days. Have been behaving as though I never had surgery. Just came back from a four day national conference in Long Beach which was fabulous but I'm exhausted. But I am healing well just the annoying swelling. My doctor says I can color my hair at four weeks but I'm not sure I want to risk it. My right side is still scabbed over a lot. Someone asked me about the incisions in my brow and hair loss so here are close ups for her and anyone else who is interested. The hair loss has now tapered off and I have some really spiky spots in some of the incision areas that I believe are new hair trying to grow in so that is encouraging.

Back to Work!

Hi it's been awhile so here are some updated pics. Looking back on this experience there are several things I didn't expect so I thought I would share them for others. These are just my opinions based on my experiences so maybe not everyone will or has experienced these but here they are. I did not expect to lose so much hair. I should state that I have always had a lot of hair, everyone remarks upon it, so don't be too freaked out by the amount in the pics, but seriously, it was a lot of hair and it just kept coming out every time I washed it. Last night was the first night it was a more normal amount and my wonderful Dr. Green says it's normal and will grow back. But I think you should know you will lose some because it's attached to skin they are going to remove, but also I lost a lot I think just from the shock. Let's see, what else? Oh, beware the pain pills. I never understood all the fuss about constipation until it happened to me and it was desperate times let me tell you. I had to run to the drug store when I wasn't prepared to go anywhere for some emergency medication. Stay away from salt! Did you know soup is loaded with sodium? Yep, bad news there. Swelling has been a problem and it's very uncomfortable. Could care less about the bruises, they go away pretty quick and makeup covers most of it. Believe me it's the swelling that's going to get to you. Sorry I have not been blogging about this regularly because I'm sure there's more I'm already forgetting but these were the main things I have to share.

Day 12 - Assymetrical fears

I'm now at Day 12. Tried the makeup myself this time. I'm not too good at the concealer but that's why I'm practicing. I'm getting a bit concerned about the differences which I think are pretty obvious between my left and right cheekbones. I'm hoping that this is just that I'm more swollen on one side than the other, but concerned that It's just pulled too tight on one side. Anyone have similar experiences?

Very nice man, great "bedside" manner, didn't try to sell me more than I wanted, my incisions look awesome which means you can't barely see them at 11 days post op!
