8month update *** after consultation

Unfortunately, during my consultation, doctor sanaz advised me to be patient, suggesting that the swelling "might" eventually subside. She explored potential issues like curled cartilages, a 9mm tip instead of the planned 6-8mm, or ear cartilage contributing to a bulky appearance. I asked if i could get a steroid shot and she said no since i have thin skin she doesn’t recommend. The bottom line is, she couldn't definitively identify what went wrong. She proposed waiting a year for a revision if I'm still dissatisfied, but I'm hesitant due to my initial unfulfilled expectations. Despite desiring a natural look, the disappointment of paying almost 13k for a result resembling my original nose is disheartening. Like obviously i want a natural looking nose without looking overdone… but i want a great nose not a ok one. This journey has taken a toll on me emotionally. keep in mind I wanted to fix my bulbous nose and I wanted a pretty slope. i’ll continue to update!

nostrils

11/20/23 I thought I should add this as an update. I noticed my nostrils are different sizes. My left nostril is much higher up than my right. and i have bump inside of my left nostril. For reference I got my rhinoplasty April 25, 2023. My follow up is in a month and i’ll update after that!

Rhinoplasty

After undergoing rhinoplasty in April of this year, my primary concern was the appearance of the front of my nose, particularly the front, bulbous tip and my side profile. I aspired for a nose similar to those of Madison Beer and Cindy Kimberly, although I understood it wouldn't be an exact result. I even showed inspo pics! I wanted something similar to those noses. My goal was to have a refined and way less bulbous tip, with a nice slope side profile. It has been around seven months since the procedure, and to my disappointment, several friends and family members have remarked that my front profile appears nearly identical to how it was before. I also took my before and after pictures to reddit and get the opinions of strangers, and they all said the same thing; how they don’t see a difference of the front. This feedback has left me feeling quite disheartened.

I have an upcoming in-person consultation in a couple of weeks, but I'm uncertain about what to expect from it. I suspect that my surgeon may not have addressed my tip concerns adequately, which is disheartening given the considerable cost I incurred for the surgery (around 13k) , not to mention the additional expenses due to the procedure taking longer than anticipated. I was quite upset to hear that i had to pay around $300 more since they took longer in surgery. At this point, I'm dissatisfied with the results, and I plan to provide an update after my consultation. I’ve attached pictures.

Payment process

My interaction with Dr Sanaz has been nice and she seems to be caring and understanding. So hopefully we can find a solution about my nose. I want to update and document my process. As of currently, my overall rating is tentative. One thing that i forgot to add in the initial review was that, I didn’t like how the staff treated my dad when I came for surgery and my dad was waiting for me in their lobby. He told me that they were going to have an event in the waiting area and that they told him that he had to go wait downstairs. I just thought that was kind of odd how they made him go downstairs so they can have an event, while i was having surgery.
