As for the staff at Berks Plastic Surgery you simply will not find better, Stephanie the coordinator is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, as well as all the nursing and support staff, every detail is thought of, every possible need is met, I had trouble with my compression garment I was sent home in and they sent one to me overnight.

As for Dr. Reedy and why I chose him, I find his presence very calming and reassuring, he is a true artist and clearly has an eye for what he does, he knows what works and he will tell you what he recommends for you and why. He was not the first plastic surgeon I consulted, I am from a small rural area in PA and my options were limited, I had a consult with a surgeon in the area whos work I had seen first hand, and after the consultation I just felt indifferent about everything, I really wanted the procedure and the surgeon had not said anything wrong, I am sure he is capable but it just didn't seem right. That is when i branched out and found Dr. Reedy, although his practice is a 2.5 hour drive one way, after my consultation I knew there was no one else I would trust. Dr. Reedy truly loves what he does and you can sense that, he's passionate about his job. I am a nurse and most of my patients undergo open heart surgery, so any additional OR time is a bad thing, it means there was a problem, I remember my first thought upon waking from surgery and seeing the clock was that... it was kinda late and OMG did something go wrong, but rest assured that if you get extra OR time with Dr. Reedy its just because the man is a perfectionist and will take whatever time necessary to give you the best results. And just a general note about surgeons, I dont think the general public fully understands their job, they spend countless hours on their feet performing complicated tasks not many people can, their job is both physical and mental and if you can find one that is still smiling and happy to see patients after a lengthy procedure as Dr. Reedy is, you've found one that really loves what they do.

My general experience and opinions about having these procedures are:

-choose a plastic surgeon you trust and are totally comfortable with, it'll give you peace of mind

-at 3 weeks out my expectations have already been exceeded (have i mentioned Dr. Reedy's awesome?)

-in the first few weeks post-op don't spend all day looking in the mirror obsessing, this isn't instant gratification the healing process takes time, i'd recommend looking in the mirror before you shower to make sure there are no major changes or complications occurring but then shower and put your garments back on

-a little bit of recovery depression is likely to occur no matter what you do, so have a supportive friend close by and try and spend your recovery time relaxing versus focusing on results

-follow your surgeon's instructions down to the very last detail

-personally for me I considered doing my own before and after photos because I found other peoples very helpful, but ultimately decided to leave the before and after photos to the professionals, I think doing my own would have just led to me obsessing over initial results while there was still a lot of swelling and healing happening

I hope this was helpful to anyone considering surgery, I had very droopy, deflated breasts and had a breast lift with 371cc silicone implants under the muscle, I could not be happier with the results so far, they already look natural and fit my build very well. As for the liposuction, I still have some swelling which is to be expected but can see fantastic results.
