3 weeks Post-op TT Pictures. :)

I'm 3 weeks Post-op day and I'm happy to be returning to work tomorrow. I'm feeling very well overall. I'm off my pain meds & down to taking Motrin 2x a day. Started walking outside this week & today I did 3miles to celebrate my 3 week mark. Walking really does help, as much as it hurts in the beginning, my back feels so much better this week. Here are my photos from today. I'm happy with my healing progress so far - I'm doing deep tissue massage on my incision every night before bed using some heavy Eucerin cream and I already feel the sides of my scar flattening out. I can't wait to get back into a full workout routine, I hope the next 3 weeks fly by. ;) ????????????

So I finally had my full TT done on June 14th. I'm feeling very well with low pain today ( 2 weeks post op). My first week home was a challenge with getting comfy & walking, I had major lower back pain from being hunched over and I have a pinched nerve which is causing a sciatica flare up w/ numbing in my left knee. I really thought I would have more intense incision pain but it's very minimal. I had a lot of gas pain after surgery so if your planning this, be prepared!! Gas x, stool softners, and lemon ginger tea helped me. It was hard to eat the first week & I ended up losing 6 lbs or so which I'm grateful for. My scar is looking gnarly but my surgeon has me doing deep tissue massage once a day on it. It's definitely tender to the touch and I'm a little worried it's higher than I wanted. I'm really hoping with time as my skin relaxes it will lower itself.? I'm not sure if anyone can answer that. I know we all heal differently. I'm still slightly hunched over & all I want I do is stretch my body!! But I'm careful not to because I'm afraid to ruin anything. I have a little swelling in my lower abdomen. I read that Arnica Montana was helpful in reducing swelling especially after surgery, so I started taking that the day before ( w/ my surgeons permission) and I don't know if it helped but I'm glad I'm not anymore swollen than this. My garment sucks! It is killing my skin but I wear it 24/7 for 4 weeks. I bought a few spanx to go under the garment just to protect my skin but I'm not sure about them yet. Someone needs to make a silk garment that can hold up for this type of procedure! Lol...I'll post a before and after for you guys but I'm not showing my scar just yet...but my next update I will. Many blessings to you if you're going thru this transformation because it is a MAJOR! Stay strong ??
