How it works
  • Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
  • This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
  • Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
  • Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

After three c - sections and one emergency...

After three c - sections and one emergency c-section with hysterectomy I was left with a horrible stomach. Losing weight was frustrating because my stomach would look worse.

I but the bullet and had a full tummy tuck....and have not regretted it! It was quite painful the first three days after the procedure, but pre planning and having a helper made a world of difference. Plus it helps that I am an occupational therapist with training in edema management and wound care ;-)

The only surprising thing was the amount of edema in my upper thighs the first couple of days after the drains were removed. This has since mostly resolved with a low sodium diet, passive and active edema therapy, gentle walking and lots of hydration.

This was one of the best investments I have made ....!!!

10 Days post op!

Feeling more human!! May actually get off the couch this week, although it had been nice not listening to the hubby snore ;-)

Almost two weeks post op!

I have to say. ...I am a little obsessed with my bellybutton....I mean, I HAVE A bellybutton now and not some skin crater in the center of my abdomen...I think my husband thinks I am a little narcissistic these days...I keep taking pictures!! My incision is healing well, but the swelling has popped up some of my stretchmarks and I have one or two areas that look like tiny pleats...However, I am not concerned as most of this should resolve over the next six months :-) My incision is starting to itch...I have dreams that I scratch it. .. These dreams have mostly replaced my fantasies about being on a desert island with Brad Pitt ;-)
