Visited Dr. Wang Last Thursday

I was expecting Dr. Wang to be this terrifying person after all of the google reviews I read but he was just this average, professional doctor. I'm not really sure why everyone was saying he was such a terrible person but I was actually rather impressed by him! I was not so impressed by his estimated cost of a rhinoplasty and chin implant: $14,475. That was a WHOLE lot more than I was expecting! Also, he doesn't use screws to hold the chin implant in place and he relies on the nose skin to naturally shrink after surgery. I'm not sure if those are normal things and I shouldn't worry about it, but I just don't know if my nose skin is going to shrink quite as well as he thinks it will. I'm really unsure at this point about what doctor to go to. Dr. Chan might be less expensive but I don't know if he is very experience with rhinoplasty and he has less experience. Dr. Wang has quite a few years under his belt and works through OHSU (something about being affiliated with a well-known hospital comforts me) but I'm not sure about his technique and his surgeries are going to cost me an arm and a leg...please feel free to comment and leave your opinion! Thanks!

Another Appt This Thursday

July 16th is creeping up slowly but surely and I am really curious to see what Dr. Wang will be like! I want to see what his opinion is on my nose and possibly chin augmentation, as well as his price quote. Wish me luck, everyone!

Forgot to Mention

*****WHOOPS I forgot to mention in my previous post: Dr. Chan felt that a chin implant would not give me what I am looking for. I want a stronger jaw plus a longer chin and the chin implant doesn't do that, apparently. Dr. Chan said that I would have to do a sliding genioplasty for that. I have done no research on sliding genioplasty and my chin doesn't bother me as much as my nose so I think I will just be doing the rhinoplasty. All the same, I will ask Dr. Wang for his opinion.
