14 months post op

Just an update on my current situation. My breasts look awesome and the scars have really faded. The one nipple was numb for a long time and now is sore with painful tweaks at times. Nothing serious just healing I guess, and it looks fine. Tummy tuck looks great too but I have had some personal life issues so gained some weight. It hasn't affected the front of me but the weight has gone to my back and love handle area. The juvederm lips were awesome for like 6 months but I really need them redone, and that is normal. Will post some pics once I get some of the added weight off.

Post op pics day 10

Still trying to attach pics...please excuse the swelling and sores from allergic reaction to tape.

Post Op 10 days Doing Well!

I have been MIA with trying to work this week and recover. Even working part time from home it was a lot to go back 4 days after surgery. No pain meds or muscle relaxers (just antibiotic) since Day 7. On Day 8 had my first postop where I got my drains removed. I had no feeling at all from these being taken out like some say. I also had all my stitches taken out. My biggest issue is that I have tape 'burns' on several spots on my abdomen and back. They are very sore and look like huge blood blisters. Apparently I had an allergy to the tape used. Luckily it was not over any of the cut areas. Steri strips work fine on those. They replaced all those along my lower incision for the tt and the incisions around my nipple and breast from the lift. My breasts are swollen (esp the left one) but the abdomen not too bad.

I am now in a sports bra and spanx which I'll wear 24/7s for 2 weeks, and then 12 hours a day for 2 more weeks. The bruising from my juvederm in my lips has subsided and I am pleased with the results. My mole on my face is still covered in a steri strip but stitches out. I am allowed to sleep however is comfortable and I've been in my bed since like day 4 post op. It is still hard to get really comfy as the breasts are very heavy swollen and sore. Right now it looks like I have stripper boobs but I only had 275 cc saline implants. LOL I will try to post pics later but for some reason the last few times I tried it wouldn't let me. Oh, and I am standing up pretty good but still have that hunched over look when I look in the mirror. I guess more work on that but my back has been so sore during all this (pre-surgery back issues) that it is hard. I have to say the recovery has been much easier for the most part than I expected. The issues I'm having are mainly ones others wouldn't even have (my back and the tape reaction sores). Oh, I did want to add that I tried to wear my cami shaper and it was LOOSE. Had to have my daughter go over to Target and get me spanx in a smaller size. ;-)

So far I love Dr. Burke. He has an excellent office manner and professional history. His nurse Carol is super sweet too and I'm glad she'll be in there with me. I'll be staying overnight and their anesthesiologists are all MDs.
