Yes, I went there about 3 weeks post op and will be there this Thursday for a follow up. Dr. Harris performed a face lift on me 8 years ago and I have been so happy with it. He also did full abdomenal lipo on me 5 years ago and told me then I would need a tummy tuck afterwards but he didn't do both at the same time. After having gone through the tummy tuck, and the extended recovery, I totally agree with his reluctance to do both at the same time. Have you been to the new office? If not, I can tell you how to get there.

I suppose I was one of the lucky few that did not have to feel with drains so I can't help you there. My doc said that he only uses drains when someone is undergoing a full body lift or has more skin to remove than what is typically found in a tummy tuck. Overall, how are you feeling? I bet you look awesome. Let me know how your appt goes.

Now that it's Jan. 14, how are you doing? Are you going to post some pictures of the new you? I'm having surgery on Jan 27th. I'm glad that you're feeling better...that's inspiring to those of us who haven't gone through it yet!

Hey Jett! Happy to hear that you are doing so well. I think we had our surgery on the same day. I finally had my drains removed this morning and I feel like a whole new woman today. It's so strange how each doctor is so different in terms of post-op care. My doctor insisted that I take at least 3 weeks off of work after my TT and BL. I was told that I need to do as little as possible until next Monday so that my stomach can heal properly and that minimal swelling can occur. He said I can only get up to go to the bathroom and grab some food from the kitchen. Nothing else... he won't let me leave the house because getting in and out of the car has a huge effect on the healing of the muscles. About the bandages, I need to leave them on until they naturally fall off and I am not allowed to shower until tomorrow night after the drain holes close completely.

I am so concerned with all the activity you are doing, Please take it easy and remember that you just had major surgery. I know it is so much easier said than done but please take it easy and try to rely on others to get things done. Please keep us posted with your progress!!

hey sorry your having a hard time but it will get better, I'm 10 days post op and the truth for me is I had very little pain i guess I have a high pain tolerance. Also when I came home my mom made me get up every 1 1/2 hour to walk and I believe that is what helped for me and now I walk straight,I sleep straight and flat on my back in my bed and I don't hurt at all I'm on advil and that's it. so it will get better hang in there.

Hi Jaberino! I am 3 days post-op too!! Had my TT and BL on the 28th. You have come to the right place to ask questions and talk to others that are going through the same thing. My pain has been so much worse than expected and I am on Dilaudid (morphine) and Robaxin (muscle relaxer). I too have been extremely gassy ... how strange! I am not allowed to take a shower with my drains still in but if you are Im sure it will make you feel a little better. Have you been running a fever? I have been upto 101 for 2 days now... on and off. Are you sleeping well in the recliner? I rented a hospital bed and its been great!
