I just had a full tummy tuck, breast lift with silicone implants, and lipo. I am on post-op day 3. When does the pain go away? I am on percocet, hydrocodone, and valuim. The worst part is that I started today and I feel like my whole stomach is one big fart bubble!! Will a shower help...? Also, I've been sleeping in a reclyner.
Well, I tested out the shower this evening and it...

I took a shower yesterday and actually went out and bought me a new cell phone. Then I came home, and helped cook our New Year's dinner. After that, I hit the sack because it was too much.
I am supposed to go back to work tomorrow but I just don't see that happening right now. I will keep you all updated on my progress.

Today I got up and took a shower and went to Chili's with my sister-in-law and the kiddos. I managed my pain with 2 Tylenol. My belly is still sore mostly below by belly button. My right breast also hurts--it feels like a baseball in my arm pit but I am just guessing that is the implant moving down. My little girl started back to school yesterday so I had to wash and dry her hair last night and that about killed me. Overall, I feel fortunate that I am feeling this well. My girlfriend said that she laid in the bed so long that her hair fell out :) Oh, I even folded 2 loads of laundry with the help of a few. I suppose the only thing saving me is to ensure that I rest and not over do it when I think I could really do more. Until tomorrow....

Went to my appt today and the nurse said that everything looks great. I will meet the doc again in about 6 days and we will begin the scar therapy and the breast massages. After my appt, I returned to my desk job and my nurse said that was fine as long as I felt up to it but definately not to over do it. I can tell you, that I had no idea I would feel this good so soon after surgery. I am still swollen and my implants are still high but the summer is coming and I'm sure I'll look awesome just in time.

The doctor said that everything looked good at my 2 week appt and that is when he told me to begin massaging my lipo areas and my breasts. I am so pleased with my results so far. My breasts are still high but my tummy tuck area doesn't seem to be too swolen.
FYI: I asked the nurse which type of bandages were better since the doctor gave paper tape to cover my incisions. She indicated that she could see the difference in patients using the silicon tape vs. the paper tape. So, I am using silicone tape and changing that out once a week until I hit my 3 month mark.

I am so concerned with all the activity you are doing, Please take it easy and remember that you just had major surgery. I know it is so much easier said than done but please take it easy and try to rely on others to get things done. Please keep us posted with your progress!!
I'm sorry your pain has been so severe. Make sure to stay on top of your pain relievers and keep in touch with your surgeon's office. Please keep us posted on how you're feeling, too.
Virtual hugs!

Sunshine, Have you contacted your surgeon about your fever? It could be a sign of an infection.
