Always Wanted a More Refined, Feminine Nose, but I Did Not Feel Confident Having It Done Until I Met Dr. Liang! - Pittsburgh, PA

I wanted to share this before and after since the originally photos I posted of just my nose did not show the true difference.

For years I knew I wanted to have my nose made more feminine and more refined but could never find the right PS (plastic surgeon). I met with at least 6 surgeons, and none had a clear vision for me of what it should look like, nor could even tell me what they would do to improve it (break it or not break it, details of work, etc.) I left each PS's office feeling unsure of whether they understood what I wanted as an end result. I didn't have the obvious bump or broken nose, so the approach was not the clear cut rhinoplasty that most PSs seemed familiar with doing (such as removing bumps or straightening the bridge). All the doctors I met prior to Dr. Liang, saw me once, barely spent 20 minutes consulting with me, handed me a price, and tried to schedule my surgery - ALL IN ONE APPOINTMENT. I felt rushed, and had no confidence that we (the PS and myself) shared a vision of the "after". After my first appointment with Dr. Liang, I knew I had found the right plastic surgeon. He spent more than an hour consulting with me on our very first meeting. We talked about what I saw and did not like regarding my nose, and what he saw. We talked about what would be aesthetically correct for my face shape and ethnicity, and he drew free-hand what he envisioned. In detail, he told me about the operation, including the recovery, and risks. He explained the challenges of doing soft tissue work on a nose like mine and explained how my skin thickness played a large role in what I could expect as an end result. And, after all this, he said, "If you decide on me as your surgeon, I want you to come back to see me (for additional consults) as many times as you want free of charge; I want you to come back until you are comfortable with all my answers to all your questions and are 100% confident I know exactly what you want." I was floored. I took him up on his offer and visited him several more times to ask questions and discuss the results I wanted. He was honest when I showed him pictures of what I wanted, telling me what was realistic, and what was not, and what would fit my face and other features, and what would not. Dr. Liang is a perfectionist and that, in my opinion, is the best thing a plastic surgeon can be. I love my new nose! I still look like me but just a better version of me. I get compliments from those who know I had rhinoplasty, and also from those who don't. I could not be more happy with Dr. Liang and his amazing staff! Dr. Liang is the best of the best! I would recommend him to anyone, and will be the only one I will trust to help me age gracefully in the future.
