DAY 5

I finally Pooped. It was horrible and I feel like a new person. Prune juice is the answer. It's not tasty, but I was so uncomfortable I would have tried anything. I stopped the pain pills because they were just making the constipation worse. I feel ok now. I am bored out of my mind and hoping by Wednesday to get my drains out. That will be huge. I am a little bummed to read about how long the swelling last. I have a little appetite back and I am trying to watch the salt intake. Tomorrow I will walk a little more and then Wednesday will be tiring going to get the drain out. I still feel a little foggy from anesthesia and wake up with a headache every morning. It goes away, but is annoying.

END of DAY 3

I am really struggling with the pain and I am afraid one of my drains is plugged. I see clots and not much flow. Did anyone else have this?

DAY THREE

Yesterday was rough. I have pain pump and a home health nurse is coming to take it out today. I haven't pooped since the surgery so I think I am headed toward and enema today. I find my back really hurts. Also I have no appetite at all. I couldn't even finish a sandwich yesterday. This morning I did feel a little better so I am hoping everyday gets better. I am so tirec.
