Wow it's been a while! I'm now on PO Day 19 so let me update a little.....I went to the doc around my PO Day 13 for them to check on my drains. I was still draining 30 cc in my right and 20 cc in my left every 24 hours. My right drain was a deep purple color while the left was a very light clearish red color. They had been that way for the past 7 days so I wasn't expecting them to take them out because the nurse had previously said I needed to wait until they were draining about 5cc every 24 hours. So I get to the office and nurse says they have to take them out because I've had them in so long and I'm running a risk of infection, and she's also going to take out my TT staples. So she starts on my right drain, she starts to pull a little and I start screaming and crying in pain. It hurt SOOOO bad. So she stopped before she could even get it out. She did the left one and that was fine I didn't even feel it. She goes back to my right side to work on my staples and after the third or fourth one it start burning and really hurting bad so I started screaming and crying again lol.....I can kind of laugh about it now but it was literally the worst pain I have had in my life. So she leaves to get another nurse and she comes back and is like ok look I HAVE to take this drain and all these staples out so just take a nice deep breath.........and then she yanks that drain out with all her might and I'm yelping and sobbing, it was just horrible. And then one by one on those damn stitches. I was squeezing a set of implants like stress balls! Once she got the bottom center of my tummy and on to the left side it didn't hurt anymore. So they thought maybe I had an infection on my right side and that's why it hurt so bad, I also had a small area on my right side that poofed out a little bit. So they put me on an antibiotic and told me to come back the next day to see the doc. That night I had a fever, hot and cold spells, all the classic flu like symptoms. I figured I for sure had an infecction. I see the doc next day and he says he doesn't think it's an infection, but rather a hematoma on my right side. Then he said something about the enzymes breaking down around the hematoma can create flu like symptoms. So I have to stay wrapped really tight with a towel on it for extra compress and put heat on it and it will go away on its own. Today.....I noticed a small area, like the size of a pin hole, dripping out the orange color fluid on my incision on the right side. Called doc and he said that's actually good, some of the fluid from the hematoma is draining out. I go see him tomorrow. This whole time, my right side is extremely sore, feels like someone kicked my ass from the inside out. It's so tender!!! And I still can't stand up straight can anyone else??? I hate going in public and rarely do. It's like, I paid all this money for a smaller tummy and now it's bigger than ever with all these towels and binder I have to wear. Plus, I look ridiculous because I walk like a hunchback. Feeling kinda down and miserable. I'm sad because I still can't pick up my kids, I can't run and chase after them, my two year old wants her mommy back and I can't do the things she wants me to do with her. Thinking of all you ladies and hope your recovery is going better. I'll post new pics tomorrow =)

PO Day 11....First day on my own without hubby. I did ok, but my poor kids ended up watching a lot of television and playing video games. I still have my drains in, they're still draining about 30cc in each one every 24 hours. My doc keeps telling me to relax and stop doing so much and it's time that I listen! If I keep trying to be active I will never get these drains out. He's going to check them out on Wednesday and hopefully take some of these staples out. I'm still really swollen around the incision and this binder is driving me nuts. I'm so itchy underneath. My drains are so tender at the insertion point it hurts to put underwear over them. I'm just kind of miserable right now =( Not in pain really, just uncomfortable and DYING for these drains to come out. Gotta go get my step daughter, I'll post new pics and complain more later =)
PO Day 8....Kind of concerned about my drains....
PO Day 8....Kind of concerned about my drains. They're both draining about 25cc in 24 hours, and the right one is a really dark purplish color while the left one is red. I thought at this point it should be more fluid and not blood, and why is my right one so dark? Every other review I have read you ladies have had that out within a few days it seems. Why am I taking so long?!?!? I'm a complainer lol....I'm just so miserable with these things still in me. And they're so tender at the spot where they go in me, I can't even wear underwear/shorts/pants because it hurts to go over them. So I'm stuck in sundress with no underwear lol, or pajama shirts. Needless to say I don't leave the house. *Impatiently waiting for Monday evening*
