2 weeks post op...

All I can say is WOW!!! So much can change in only 9 days... My incision is looking great, but my belly button not so much... It is spitting stitches so it looks frankenstein-ish. lol It was looking as if I had necrosis and my PS said too keep it clean dry and watch it closely. I was doing that, and during a cleaning I noticed this little clear strings coming out. They were stitches and after removing the stitiches stuck in the slough, it's already starting to heal. But boy is it MAD! Is very red and irritated after removing the dead tissue. I am treating it with sterile saline wash, followed by alcohol on a q-tip swap, light coat of polysporin and covered in very light gauze so it can breath but stay protected. So far so good.

I had my drains removed on day 13 and I must say, although it wasn't painful, it was the weirdest sensation I have EVER felt... BUT I felt like a new woman after!!! OMG it was sooo nice to be able to walk ut of the doctors office without having to worry about hiding my grenades! haha

Other then that I am pretty happy with the over all results... My scale is saying I weigh 10lbs less then pre op (removed 4.2 lbs during surgery) yet none of my pre op clothes fit. I know it's the swelling, so I definitely can't wait for my swelling to go away. My flanks are also pretty big looking, I didn't have lipo, but they were much smaller directly after surgery, so I am blaming it on the swelling,.

I will update this again in 2 more weeks. :)

Hey Everyone, I am 28 and have 3 kids. Each pregnancy destroyed my stomach more than the last. I've been wanting a tummy tuck for awhile but never had the courage to go through with it. Well, I finally did...

Day 1 and half of day 2 were sooo easy. besides the tummy soreness it was a breeze. I was walking straight up on day 1. My ps had me on Vicodin. Day 2, 3 and 4 were hell! The pain meds made me constipated and gassy. The gas pains were excruciating! They were so bad that I was getting nauseous and puking. Every time I threw up it felt like I ripped my stitches out... Day 3 I didnt want any pain meds at all. I was scared to put anything in my mouth because it would either come back up or give me more gas...my belly was rock hard and bulging from all the gas...

On day 4 I saw my ps and he said it was the Vicodin so I switched to Motrin. I started taking gas x and a stool softener. I also started drinking Metamucil. What a relief!!!

Today is day 5 and I'm on motrin only. I am also taking metamucil and gas x... Today is going super well... no more pain and the gas is about 75% gone.

My only issues is how tough it is to take in deep breathes. I still need help getting out of bed, but I am fine getting in. I also miss sleeping on my side. My drains are on my hips and I get them removed next Tuesday.
So if anyone has estimated time frames... that would be great!
