Anyone else experience openings and infection?

Has anyone else experienced openings like this during the healing process? I’m at week 4 tomorrow. If so, what was recommended and how well did you heal through process after the areas opened and became infected? I’m getting worried at this point. I’m still waiting on my surgeon to get back with me after I messaged him today. The areas seemed to have opened overnight because I didn’t notice the second opening in my TT incision or any under my breast when I saw the surgeon for a follow up on Monday. Thanks everyone!

Almost to week 4

I had my drain removed yesterday. My infections have started to clear up. Dr. H is going to see me about that next week as well as drain any more developed seromas during the visit like he had to do yesterday. I’ll keep you all updated though. It just feels nice not having that tube coming out of my incision. He said the fact that the drain was still in was the risk and cause of the infection. One less thing to worry about. He did say I should be standing straight up now and that I’m babying my abdomen, so I have to work on that. It's just too tight when I stand up. I can feel my lower abdomen pulling and it's uncomfortable. Doesn't hurt, just uncomfortable. When I got up this morning and put my scar treatment on after showering, I noticed that I have 2 open areas near the area the drain was and under my right breast. My left breast is healing well, as is the left side of my TT incision. Since the drain was removed and I had a lymphatic massage yesterday, I have noticed some swelling in my lower abdomen. I’m still on antibiotics for my previous infections in my bellybutton and area where I had the drain in. I’ll keep everyone posted on my recovery and what has been recommended to help anyone else in my situation.

3 weeks post op

I’ll be 3 weeks post op tomorrow. I can say that I’m not as far along as I’d initially hoped judging by previous blogs and YouTube journeys I followed prior to my procedures. I’m getting used to thit results a bit more, meaning that I’m confident that my right nipple and areola will indeed heal properly as is the left one, but I have to be patient. I like the scar placement of my abdomen incision, although I’m a bit concerned about the scar that will be left where the drain is because I’ve had 2 infections in the area and the drain still hasn’t been removed after 3 weeks due to too much drainage persisting. I am still hating and aching from the inability to stand fully erect yet. My back aches and it’s difficult to find comfortable sleeping positions, still. My labia has reduced in swelling, but it’s still swollen and will remain that way for another 3 weeks, so I’m confident that area will look more pleasing in the few weeks time. Since my blood transfusions 2 weeks ago, I do feel more energetic (obviously). I think this is a combination of bringing my hemoglobin back up and the overall healing time I’ve had since my surgery. If anyone experiences severe fatigue, ringing in ears, extreme loss of strength or ability to focus, please go to the hospital and tell them you just had major surgery and may have low blood counts. My hemoglobin was 5.2 only 3 days post op (normal hemoglobin is 13-14), which means I had a loss of over half my blood and fluids! This is thought to be due to the extensive lipo I had in my flanks, back, abdomen and thighs in order to do the surgical bbl (Brazilian butt lift). I’m not a doctor, but I am going based off of what the ER doctor told me he felt the blood loss was due to. Please don’t opt out of a BBL if you’re thinking of having one. It’s not a common risk associated with ththe procedure, but can obviously happen. Also, I’m a type 1 diabetic, so my condition hasn’t helped with the risks of infection. Although I manage my diabetes very well, sometimes it’s inevitable to avoid certain risks. I included a pic of my entire body so you can see the labia as well as the breasts, abdomen, and upper inner thighs I had liposuctioned. I will post a picture of my buttocks when I’m able to stand erect enough to even position myself to get an accurate pic. Dr. Hochstein’s office has been wonderful in this entire experience. Dr. H never hesitates to answer all my questions and explain what I need understood if I don’t understand a certain topic or explanation he’s given. Also, he has fit me in between surgeries to drain seromas and check my incisions for infection since I’ve had issues with these things. I highly recommend Dr. Hochstein judging by his thiuroghness thus far. I feel confident I’ll heal well in his care although I’m having the normal concerns most people have post operations. Have a good day everyone. I’ll try to keep you all posted as I heal more!
