I decided on having the gastric sleeve because...

I decided on having the gastric sleeve because obviously I was morbidly obese, I'm a live kidney donor, and most importantly I have children and grandchildren I want to be around to enjoy. I started my liquid diet on Sept 22, 2014 the first day was pure hell as my son whom is an amazing cook decided on having taco night which I love...... the days to follow weren't as bad I did cheat a couple of times not too bad just a spring roll every other day on my last week... I started at 237lbs on my first visit which slowly escalated due to vacation on the 22nd when I started my protein diet I was up to 245 Lbs... On October 6, 2014 morning of my surgery I weighed in at 231lbs, I have my first post op follow up on October 17 am excited to see my progress, I have refrained from weighing myself being that its only been 7 days since my surgery and I still have swelling. The day of the surgery as I came out of anesthesia the pain was unbearable but the IV pump helped. I started walking several hours after which helped... My first night at home was brutal trying to get comfortable and being able to get out of bed was the worse but once I figured I'd sleep cropped up on tons of pillows it was much easier. Today I decided to go for a short walk it was slightly painful but the pain meds helped.... being on the post op liquid diet isn't easy but I am sticking to it as hard as it is......

some photos pre op/ post op photos coming soon
