Thrilled with my Results - New York, NY

I am writing a review of the Smooth Tuck procedure and thigh reduction liposuction which I had in a combined surgery. It may be trite to state but the Smooth Tuck surgery transformed my life in a very positive way: it lets me feel good about myself again. It is the best thing I ever did for myself. Years of pilates and multiple diets did not change the middle-age spread that ruined my appearance in clothing. I had consulted other surgeons but none would commit to making the kind of change I was seeking – removing the spare tire that encircled my waist. Dr. Schulman was confident that he could achieve the results I sought and he had pictures on his website that demonstrated his success with the procedure. Honestly, I struggled, more like agonized, with taking the step, admitting that I could not get the results without surgery and incurring the expense. Obviously I got beyond it. I never questioned the pricing. In my view quality surgery done correctly is cheaper than a bargain surgery with a poor outcome that requires correction.

From my initial consultation through the follow up visits, Dr. Schulman and his staff were always friendly and thorough. I left the initial consultation with all the information I needed to make an informed decision. There was no pressure to decide or book the surgery. Follow up questions were promptly answered. When I decided to move forward, scheduling the surgery was a little tough since his is very busy. However, that is the reality for doctors who are in demand.

The staff at the surgical suite was pretty fantastic. They were friendly and supportive, preparing me in advance for all the steps of the surgical day. The day of the surgery went as described. The medical staff took extended time to cover all the bases and make me comfortable.

Post-surgery, I experienced minimal discomfort for a very short time, mostly related to the smooth tuck. It took many weeks before I could sleep in any position besides on my back. Wearing compression garments can be a bit of a bother but the results have been fully worth it. Three months later, I still get odd sensations in my abdomen as it continues to heal, probably because for the most part, I am not wearing compression garments any longer. As promised, I was able to return to full time work after two weeks which was a big concern.

Overall, the results exceeded my expectations.
