Having breat cancer and a mactectomy I did a lot of research on DIEP flap reconstruction. I liked the idea of using my on tissue rather than an implant that could leak or have to be replaced. I found Dr. Wendel in Nashville,Tn. and after meeting with him, he said I was a good candidate for the procedure. We set a date and the sugery was performed. This surgery is more complex, takes longer and the recover is longer but it is worth it in my opinion.

I was very pleased with Dr Wendel. He and his staff was wonderful to work with and alway made me feel comfortable. I could call them anytime and they always made me feel special. Dr. Wendel is an excellent surgeon and one of the few in this area qualified to perform this surgery.
