I am 36 years old and have had 5 kids. My oldest is 17 and my youngest is 3. They tore my body up. I have been wanting to do a mommy make over for years now, but I keep putting it off. My new years resolution was to lose weight and get the surgery. I have lost 22lbs which was enough to avoid the lipo. I am 5'3 and weight 125 and had my surgery last friday. I was not prepared for this at all. I didn't research before hand because I was afraid that I wouldn't go thru with the surgery.
I had the hardest time coming out of the anesthesia. I was dry heaving and shaking uncontrolably and our 3 hour drive home turned into 6 as I did not take into consideration the memorial weekend traffic. That first day was pretty horrible and I was totally dependent on my husband for everything...I had a blackout spell on day 3 where I felt like I did not have any blood circulating in my body and I seriously thought I was going to die. I decided to get off of the vicodin and anti nausea medicine right then and there and I have been getting better and better by the hour. Here I sit on day 5 post op. I am taking care of myself. Made my own breakfast and I think I am ready for an outing. I wish I could stand completely straight, but I am only at about 95%. My skin is just too tight to let me stand up completly. I guess I should add that I had a tummy tuck, breast lift with 397cc silicone implants. I am going to take a shower now and will post some real before and after pics when I am done.

I would also like to add that I have not taken Vicoden since day 3 and have not taken Tylenol since yesterday. I have one more day of antibiotics and I will be med free. I eat "clean" and my body hates all of these toxins!!!!

Well I got up and went to the bank, Kmart and the bakery.....I am so worn out....geez! My oldest daughter has a sports banquet tonight so I am going to rest and then take a shower and try to get in an outfit that will hide my little secret. I may just be crazy thinking I can pull this off. Tomorrow I make the 3 hour trek back to the PS to get my drains out....I hate them!

So I think I must be crazy. I went to my daughters sports banquet with my tubes all tucked in....and it lasted 3 hours and I was miserable....Ladies, leave the mommy guilt at the door. My daughter would have been just fine without me there!

The drainage tubes came out........It was a very unpleasant 30 seconds. My husband was shocked...said they were about 2 feet long each. My belly burned for about a minute afterwards and then I felt nauseous for about 10 minutes and then I was fine. My PS is over 3 hours away and since we were already there, we drove over to Santa Monica and took a walk on the boardwalk. I have lived in California my whole life and never been. I am now home resting in my recliner and I am already amazed at how much better I can stand with out those stupid tubes. I don't have to go back to the PS for 4 weeks as my stiches are all disolvable. He said I have to wear a CG and sports bra for 4 weeks....I was hoping he would have been one that would have let me out of those a little early although I will admit that I feel a little insecure without them.

I wasn't even going to post today because I felt that today was boring, but realized it may be helpful for others to have timelines. Had a birthday party for my daughter and I felt stupid because I couldn't help much and I just sat there. Perhaps this is why I am having a blue day. I have read other posts about women feeling depressed and I was like "why" and now I see.....it's for no good reason, but it happens. I just feel like lashing out and crying. Hopefully this will be over tomorrow.

I work in a dental office and went back to work today. Our Dentist is out of the country for 2 weeks which is why I had the surgery at this time. It was nice to go in for a few hours without patients and get my bearings. It wore me out, but I am definatly stronger than yesterday. I am standing up at like 97%...still can't get that last little bit. Does anyone else feel like their CG is compromising circulation to you limbs?

I am 5'3 and 125lbs and I am not sure how much fat my surgeon removed....I was kind of wondering the same thing. Right before surgery I always fluctuated between 125 and 127. At 12 days post op, I weighed 124 (I never see that number). I plan on asking my PS at my next visit. My breast are 397cc and I believe them to be a large C but I need to get an accurate measuring. LOL.....I guess what I am trying to say is that I'm clueless....LOL

If you don't mind me asking, what size is your breast now and how much skin and fat did your P.S remove? We have similar stats so I am curious. I am 5'5 and 133 lbs.

Went camping this weekend. I rode a bike. I am not going to say it was easy breezy but it was nice to sit in the sun and relax. I am getting stronger every day. I can finally stand up right but I still am incredibly sore at the very top of my abs, it is the spot that I noticed right out of surgery and it is still painful.....as soon as that heals and I can stop wearing this itchy compression garment, I think I will be doing A-ok!!! I am adding 2 new pics....they were taken at exactly 2 weeks post op.

@helloimkristin....my Ps told me at 1 week that they would start to fall off at 2....so when 2 weeks came, I pulled them off...I wasn't waiting lol....And thanks RubySparkles :)

It's probably not appropriate for me to blog about sex.....but if you are like me you are wondering when and how. Well I did it! At 15 days post op, we did it laying on our sides with him behind. I was really afraid of the whole orgasm thing because my abs contract, so I made sure that I ....held back? ...I guess. The next night he was on top and I only tell you this because this is the interesting part....with my new lifted vagina, things had moved to a more favorable spot pleasure wise. Who knew that I was going to get more sensation down there from a tummy tuck? BONUS!!!!! Any how, I had my O moment and it was not painful...took it real slow. My husband cannot get enough of my boobs. I am so thrilled. I can tell that having this surgery has boosted my self image and I can't wait to have all of my restrictions lifted. Sorry if this is TMI but the main reason that I had this surgery was to keep myselft from turning the lights of during sex and it's already happening.

@momwboys.....I was unaware of the lift myself, but my incision is so low that I guess when they pulled the skin together, it pulls the labia upwards....it changed the way sex feels for me...for the better :)

I haven't check in for a while....Life has been busy. I gave up my compression garment a week ago and I was determined not to be one of those garment addicts. I was a little sore at first, It was like I had lost my back muscles. I got drunk last night and have my first hangover in years..I was puking and now I am sore again...:( I am looking forward to not thinking about my tummy everytime I want to do something. I also have become very lazy and need to get my butt working out again...sigh

Hi girls, I am now 7 weeks post op and started exersising last week (no pushups or situps). Anyhow, I am really swollen right now and more so in one area above my belly button. Is this normal? I wouldn't be concerned if it was all over swelling but the fact that one area kind of sticks out a little more is freaking me out. anyone out there want to offer up me their post op exersise experience?

I also wanted to thank you for your TMI post! Those are the things one might not even think to ask, even if one were brave enough to ask the PS.

I can't believe it's almost been a year since my MM. I feel great, I am still so happy that I did this. My breast are very natural. The only 2 downsides are that I still don't have all my feeling back in my tummy and when I do push ups or use my arms in certain ways, I can feel my implants move. Other than that, life is good! Good luck to all of you!

William Bruno

Dr. Bruno has been great, he called me after surgery to check on me and responded promptly to my questions over this long 3 day weekend. I rated the staff professionalism a 4 because I felt rushed out of the recovery room a little too fast and the nurse was really annoyed with me for being so panicked about getting up. I also had to be very persistant with the staff to get everything going with my prescriptions and paperwork. It took several phone calls. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Bruno....he is an artist!
