2 year update with 1.5 year progress photo

A year and a half and I would not take this back for the world. Initially the recovery was A lot. But after four months I felt amazing, I feel amazing. I can wear the tiniest string bikini and all my friends and family are amazed by how almost nonexistent my scar is.

Scar update

My scars are looking great 6 weeks post op. I have a tiny bit of tattoo, that’s the ugly green blob in the pictures, I will be getting this lasered off after the 6 month mark. I’ve been using silicone tape I purchased on Amazon. I also was recommended to get laser hair removal at the incision line where the hairs are growing in, you can see them there in the middle at the top. I will be having my electrolysis lady take care of those as it’s the only FDA proven method for permanently removing hair forever. I’ve had treatment for other places, so I know it works, it’s just a little painful. Luckily I only have a handful of hairs at the incision line. I had to reschedule my six week PO appointment to eight weeks due to some scheduling conflicts, so once I have that appointment I will take pictures of the before pictures they took and post them then! I’m finally no longer hunched, sleeping on my side & feeling stronger everyday!

Not sure why pics weren’t added on last post

I’m not sure why my pictures didn’t post to the last post but here they are. My next appointment is scheduled at the six week mark. I will take pictures of my before. I was so busy and nervous that I completely forgot to do so. My surgery was at 6 AM, I met my nurse for the day, consulted with Dr. Clark again and met my anesthesiologist. He gave me a cocktail, I gave my husband a kiss. Walked to the surgery room, laid down and all I remember was waking up. There was no pain, But I was very sore that evening and the first time I attempted to get up to go to the bathroom, I got very nauseous and vomited in the bag that they provided me :-). I got up too fast, too quickly after surgery. Dr. Clark followed up with me by phone call to my husband that evening, but I was way out of it and in and out for those first three days!
