I feel compelled to share my experience with...
I feel compelled to share my experience with respect to BA since I read endless posts/blogs etc while awaiting my own BA surgery. First of all, I did a complimentary review with Dr. Lista three years prior- However, I was not ready to "commit" to the process so I did not follow through. This time (August 2013) when I met with him again I booked and paid for my surgery the very same day as the consult. So, thank you to him for not making me feel as though I may have potentially been a waste of time.
The patient co-ordinators are great (military like though) as your instructions for surgery are clear, direct and cannot be misunderstood. I personally like that as it leaves no room for intrepretation. I lived out of town so all forms, bloodwork requisitions etc were e-mailed and handled by fax which was great for me.
On the day of surgery I felt great- The nurses were amazing and I was not at all nervous- I was excited for the "new me." When I woke up there was discomfort and I was given pain meds through my IV- perhaps an hour later I was released. That evening I watched TV and had a great dinner prepared for me- pain was very manageable and I did not need the full dose of oxy etc. Second day was uncomfortable as the drains and pain pump were removed- However, pain meds were awesome (I used Gravol with oxy since I am sensitive to narcotics)- By day three, I felt great and had switched to extra strength Tylonel. Of course there is some soreness when you move but not at all as I expected it to be.
I was a small B prior to the BA- I have had three kids (all of which I nursed) and I hated my breasts. I did not feel sexual or attractive and disliked that I could never 'fill' my bras etc.
On October 28th, I did my BA with Dr. Lista's recommendation of a max implant size of 400cc (415cc in my smaller breast) and I am grateful I did. He said he would not go smaller than 250 but not larger than 400 for natural looking breasts. I LOVE my breasts now! They are beautiful and sooooo natural looking. I feel more attractive, sexual and I love the way I look in my clothes. For me, this has been an amazing investment... I have zero regrets.
I researched Dr. Lista extensively and can say that I had 100% confidence in his abilities. My recommendation is that for anyone considering a BA- see Dr. Lista- he truly is amazing. Most importantly, LISTEN to his recommendations- His goal is natural, beautiful breasts- and that is a promise that he delivers on. My next step would be a tummy tuck and I would never consider another surgeon.
