WORTH IT$7,100

After 3 children I am finally ready to get my abs back! I have been wanting this for a long time and finally wore my husband down to agree to it. The breaking point was when a co-worker put her hand on my stomach and asked when I was due!

My surgery is on November 10th, so it is sneaking up on me. I have had it scheduled since August, so I am getting very anxious. I am having a full tummy tuck and hernia repair. I did look into having just the hernia repaired by a general surgeon, but I knew I wouldn't be happy with the results. So I have been saving away for this big day!

My husband isn't on board with the surgery (he thinks I look fine the way I am), so I am hoping you all can give me the support I need. Luckily my mom is being a saint and staying with me as long as I need her.

I am an avid exerciser and am quite nervous about how long I will be laid up. I think I am just going to have to listen to my body and play it by ear. I have never taken more than 3 days off - even after each of my pregnancies so this is going to be difficult. I have a feeling I will be in so much pain and I won't have the energy to even think about working out.

I have been reading everyone's reviews for so long and I really appreciate it so much! This is such a wonderful site! I look forward to sharing my journey with you.

I forgot my stats - I am 35 years old, 5'9" and weigh 132. My youngest just turned 2 , so I am nervous about not carrying her around for a few weeks :(.

Hi runnermom, u scheduled one day before me so we are noth November Tt's. My hub felt like that for awhile to but eventually came around when he realized how it important it is for ME. So in time your husband will show support and will be liking those results with a huge smile on his face. Look forward to following your journey and will keep in touch :) btw u are nice size and height so I know u gonna have that Heidi klum physique after this surgery.

Thanks peaches32! I am so happy to be going through this journey with everyone's help! How are you feeling about things? I go in tomorrow for my ps appt and to pay! Then it will feel more official! No turning back :)

At beginning during searching for PS's I was real nervous. I had a fear of a scar that would be hideous. Once I found this sight and saw blogs of real women and how alot of them look really good and really wasn't that painful per majority of ladies it all put my nerves to ease. I think if u go into anything with a positive mind more than likely the outcome will be positive! I am excited and can't wait!

Hi runnermom,

You are superslim so you should have great results. My hubby doesn't want me to do the TT either but says he wants me to be happy so he supports my decision. My tummy is pretty flat iin the mornings but I have a lot of saggy wrinkly skin from pregnancy and weightgain/loss. My surgery is schedule to last 2 hours. I'm an avid excerciser too. My P.S. says that I'll be able to walk and do the elliptical and rowing machine rightway. He also says I should be able to run again in a couple of weeks. We'll see. Like you, I'm going to listen to my body.

JoBiddi, I just met with my ps for my pre op! I am so excited! He told me I could be back working out after 2 weeks!!!! I was afraid he would say I had to not run for 6 weeks. I will just play it by ear, but I hopeful! My stomach doesn't look awful in the morning, but by night I am 4-5 months pregnant! I can't wait for us! I hope the time flies by!

runnermom, so your P.S. says the same as mine about the workouts. That's good news. Time is flying so quickly. I'm down to 23 days and you only have 15 more to go! I'm so excited. I just finished working out, now I'm walking around in my yoga pants and sports bra showing my belly to my hubby trying to get him excited about my TT by telling him that soon all this ugly skin will be gone!

Hi all! My surgery was at 9:15am today. What a long day! It was a 2 hour surgery, but I didn't leave until 2:30 pm due to throwing up from the ansethia. Despite the extra nausea drugs in my iv, I threw up about 10 times. That was the most painful thing in the world. Throwing up in the car ride home was even worse! Luckily it has been a few hours since I have been sick, so I am hoping I am done.
The surgery went well, but the surgeon ran into scar tissue from my navel piercing 15 years ago :(. I'm not sure how that will affect my new bb.
Anxious to get through today and tomorrow and start healing! It was more painful than I thought it would be, but I think I need to up my pain meds.
Any tips for sitting down? Once I am down it is ok, but the process brings tears to my eyes.
Thanks for the well wishes!!! I really appreciate it!

Hi Runnermom! I'm so glad you're back. Sounds like the nausea was pretty awful. Get lots of rest. Now on to the lengthy job of healing.

Just checking in, hoping the new pain meds are working and your pain more manageable. I would describe these first 48 hrs post-op as up and down. When I feel good, I feel great (did I have surgery?) But when I feel bad, it's very uncomfortable. I've started taking my pain meds more frequently and that is helping. I hope to be off them by post-op day 3 (tomorrow). We'll see. No need to be a hero or post-op superstar. :)

Thanks gals. The pain meds are helping a lot. I too hope to cut down in the next day or so, but not yet!
