I have wanted to have a BA for 11 years now. I am...

I have wanted to have a BA for 11 years now. I am 41 years old, 5'3 and 130 pounds. I was a 34 A before I had kids, and always wished they were larger but not huge. After nursing two babies, my breasts not only shrunk back to a very small A, but they looked like two marbles in socks hanging from my chest. I was VERY self conscious. I tried to hide them from my husband (near impossible) and would fake my appearance in clothes by wearing the most padded bra I could find along with a cami with a built in bra. I've spent the last few of months REALLY researching the different Plastic Surgeons in the area, looking at TONS of pictures of their work, and reading every review and complaint that was out there. After all that Dr. Kirk Moore was the only Plastic Surgeon I really considered. My only hesitation to be honest was his advertisement for "Virtually Pain Free Breast Augmentation". I've helped friends through their painful week long recoveries so I didn't see how BA could possible be anything but painful. Also, there are a lot of local plastic surgeons that say Dr. Moore uses it as a "marketing tool" to gain business because there is no such thing as a pain free BA. Let me tell, other plastic surgeons LIE, and Dr. Kirk Moore is the real deal. I wish I had my procedure done years ago. I am 3 days post op and I feel great!

Dr. Moore's surgery technique and post operative care are completely different than other doctors. (You can search for him on YouTube to watch how he performs the surgery or watch his appearance on a morning news show to learn more.) I selected a 330 cc high profile round "gummy bear" implant. Immediately following the surgery the nurse had me stretching in the recovery room before I left. I was allowed to go home and take a 2 hour nap before getting up and stretching some more and then showering. My chest muscles felt like they had a really good work out; a good workout kind of sore not painful sore. To be completely honest the stretches never even hurt to the extent that I would describe it as painful. (I was expecting pain but there was none!) The only uncomfortable part of the stretching was that I could feel and hear little air bubbles moving and popping under the skin. (Very strange feeling but again not painful.) The first day my breast were really hard, and it felt like my sternum was bruised. I had to change the gauze that was covering the sutures a few time the first day (due to getting wet after showering) and just a little bit of blood after stretching. I was shocked that I had NO brusing on my breast at all! I was a good patient and did the 2 different stretches five time each every hour. I took 2 Motrin about 6 hours following the surgery and I took 3 Motrin before I went to bed that night. (Mostly because of the bruised sternum feeling.) As recommended, I set an alarm and woke up and stretched every 2 hours during the night. The next morning I had my post op appointment. I made my kids and husband breakfast and ran out the door with my green smoothie in hand. Since I hadn't eaten yet, I didn't want to take Motrin on an empty stomach plus I didn't really feel like I needed it. I continued to do all of the stretches and added the 15 minutes of laying on my chest twice a day. It was uncomfortable to get into and out of that position that first day. (And I needed help to do it!) Second day I was able to do it myself without issue even though laying on my chest was still uncomfortable. Today I laid on my chest on the floor (no issues) and continued to do the other stretches as needed. My breast are still hard but I can massage them a little without pain. Finally, I have to say, I LOVE LOVE LOVE how my breasts look! I have tried on bathing suits and I just can't believe how great they look and feel already. (And I keep flashing my husband so he's pretty excited too!) Amazing experience. My life literally went back to normal the very next day. If you are thinking about get a BA, I would highly recommend Dr. Kirk Moore.

I really can't say enough about Dr. Kirk Moore and his entire staff. Everyone was very professional and helpful from the first phone call to my post op appointment and everything in-between. I felt comfortable with Dr. Moore right away. Based on my measurements and the photos I brought with me, Dr. Moore suggested a type of implant and sizes that would help me achieve the look that I was interested in. Tami on his staff was SO patient with me (answering many questions) and helping me choose an implant size. I changed my mind A LOT, and she was a great help through the process. (I do regret not going at least one size larger but I'm more than happy with my results.) I was anxious before the surgery, mostly because I was afraid of the discomfort that would follow but there really wasn't any. It truly was nearly pain free. I wouldn't even use the word "pain", slight discomfort was all I experienced. My sternum felt bruised following the surgery and my back was stiff for the first 24 hours or so. I only took a Motrin the day of my surgery, and two the day following before bedtime, but didn't need anything after that. I'm still in a state of shock over how good I feel! It's hasn't slowed me down a bit. I went to a graduation dinner the evening of my surgery, I've been shopping twice, had friends over for dinner the day following surgery, taken my kids to the park, and more. I know all people experience pain differently, but my breast augmentation was truly pain free and the results are already amazing. I look my new look! I would highly recommend Dr. Moore!
