Hello, okay so im going to be getting my nose done soon on feburary 11th 2013 and theres on thing im nervous about! first, what my doctor is going to do to me is remove my bridge by shaving it and then trim the nose and fix the tip of it because i have a droppy effect going on, but the thing is, is he wants to cute the inside of my upper lip to make room on the top of my lip becuase he thinks its to small, should i be nervous of that or no? I would really like helpful information and then hes gonna stich it up!

So I just finished my surgery yesterday, it wasnt that bad. The IV shot didn't hurt at all, I was very sleepy when they put the anestigia in and I woke up bruised and threw up a fountain cup of blood, after I threw up I felt so much better! It's been the second day and only my eyes are bruised and swollen and so is my nose! But is my nose suppose to look cricket?!? Because in scared I feel one nostril is bigger then the other one, and I have blood stuck inside my nose and I cannot get it out, any suggestions?

It has been 6 days since my surgery. these past 2 days ihave been sleeping like a butterfly, my brusies went away but around my eyes its green and yellow. i have been in bed these past 6 weeks and let me tell you it is uncomftorable, i have been taking my meds 3 times a day, my lips are still swollen and are quite chapped, and i just cannot wait to get my cast off monday! but im just nervous of the pain.

i just had a rhinoplasty 2 weeks ago and inside my nose there were a string in each nostrill and on the right nostril i pulled it out as hard as i can because i thought it was dried buggers, and now im scared is this normal? and on my left nostrill the string is still in there but its bugging me. what is this? and why is there a string in my nose? like an elastic

it has been almost 2 weeks, and i hate my nose. I dont like the way it looks like in the front he did a good job on the side and with my bridge but front is a disaster. I dont know if its the swelling or what. But one nostril is way bigger than the other and when you look straight at me one nostril is up while the other one is down and looks cricket. i HATE the way it llooks

It's almost been three weeks and my nose has turned out so much better at first I didn't like it at all and I think it was the swelling that made it look so bad but ever since these past couple of days I have been lovin it!!! He did a really good job on it it's been almost 3 weeks and everything still seems fine but I still have bruises under my eyes

Hey I went by Dr Brandes too Im on Day 3 right now and not much brusing or swelling just cant breathe through the nose and uncomfortable as well as some blood in the nose not pouring out or anything. But I cant wait till this is over. Can you post some pics of you now? You look great in that last pic looking to the side.

Your nose looks so good in last pic with tape on bridge! Can we see the whole thing. Your bridge looks so natural. My doctor scooped my severly :( I wanted it like yours. Lucky!! :)

Hey, there. I'm sorry to hear that you don't like your nose, but it really is too soon to say if you like it of not. Just give it time to heal before you judge it. I felt very weird when I first saw my new nose I regretted it some for changing it, but I tried not to judge it and gave it time to heal and time for me to get use to it and now I really like my new nose. I would love to see more pictures from the front and side on any regular day without the bandages.

I think it's way too soon to judge what your nose looks like, because you're still only 2 weeks out. Rhinoplasties take months to heal, and most people find that they start to see their true results anywhere from 1-6 months. Sometimes, the tip can still be swollen up to a year. From all the reviews I've read, and from my own experience, everyone's front seems to look less than favourable for the first few months - only the luckiest of the lucky have awesome noses from the front within their first few months post-op. That's because the tip is the most swollen and the last part of the nose for the swelling to go down, and when we look at ourselves straight on, the tip is the main thing that we see. I'm almost 6 days post-op and my tip is really round and swollen, and I can only imagine what it'll look like when the cast comes off and the swelling increases again. Please just trust me when I say that you aren't alone - not in how you feel, and not in how you look. Almost every review (with pictures) that I've ever seen, 9 out of 10 noses look exactly like yours at this stage. Don't worry, it'll get better over the next few months. :)

I think your nose looks amazing! I have surgery scheduled with Dr Brandes next month. I am wondering if you told him you wanted anything specific or if you just let him do what needed to be done. did you bring in pictures or anything?

Your profile photo looks great! I would have thought that your nose is still quite swollen. Have you spoken to your surgeon? Maybe try the Ask a Surgeon section to see what they think? Many others on RS who have posted photos while they're still swollen and a lot look like yours does now, some of them look worse, but they usually turn out amazing

Hi there. It looks to me like you had a lot of work to your nose done and that is why you have so much swelling. I know it is hard waiting, but it will come down in time and you will have a beautiful refined nose. I too had significant work done and have tip swelling. You might try contouring your nose with makeup for awhile to make it appear slimmer. BTW, your profile is gorgeous.

Oh yeah...you are going to have a great nose You have a fantastic profile and when the little bit of swelling you have in the front goes down, your nose will be perfect. Your surgeon did a great job!

I would leave it, it's probably a dissolving stitch. I had dissolving stitches and ones taken out. If it annoys you maybe try cutting the excess off. I would double check with your surgeon
