So I have considered this for quite sometime. Not looking for anything major. Just a slight change sort of like Kelly Rowland. My nose isn't horrid but I would like it a little more defined. I have considered Dr. Salzhauer but I hate that they borderline harass you. Plus I know he is one of the top Rhinoplasty surgeons but I haven't seen a major change when he does the procedure on African-American women. Idk, I will keep looking and post pictures soon.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Nothing new. Just anxious to see what Dr. Davis has to say and provide me with a quote in October. I am hoping it doesn't cost more than $5000.

Man Dr. Davis still doesn't have any cancellations. Guess I have to wait until October 5th. I really hope my procedure isn't too extensive and/or expensive as I would love to have this done by next Summer depending on the cost.

Hey guys I haven't had my consult but I am looking to have the actual procedure next year during my vacation. Just curious, how long is typical recovery needed from work? For example, initial swelling to go down, bruising to go away, packing removal and etc.

Nothing new here. Consult is still two weeks away....

So I have been waiting for momths for this consult. Unfortunately I did not make it and will have to reschedule. I had lipo two weeks ago and really thought i would be up for this. Unfortunately the process to get ready for the consult and actually drive theres was more than I bargained for. I feel really bad because I want to go but I truly just disn't have the stamina. Will keep you guys updated.

Anyone have an idea of what Dr. Davis charges for...

MY SURGERY WAS PUT ON THE BACK BURNER BUT I WANT TO HAVE IT SOMETIME LATER THIS YEAR. ANYONE KNOWS HOW MUCH HIS PROCEDURE AVERAGES? THEY CHARGE FOR THE CONSULT SO I AM HOLDING OFF FOR A BIT.

about 7 grand for a revision and 5000 for a first time but davis requires an overnt hosp stay and that abt 2-3 grand

J Fort, thank you for your response. Did you look at any other surgeons in Miami? why Dr. Davis over others? Also, I'm considering going to Dr. Hillinski in California (random) but I came across his site and really liked how they looked. @ FLmommy: thank you for your input. Would you mind telling me why you chose your doctor? I'm curious as to why nobody seems to know too much about Dr. Epstein, Dr. Greene, and Dr. Bustillo in Miami. I thought they were the best?!

I am researching rhinoplasty surgeons in Miami/South Florida as well and I have had consults with dr. Bustillo, Dr. Ryan Greene, and Dr. Epstein. I am really looking for someone who is good at creating natural reductions in bulbous tips in patients with thick skin. This is a primary rhinoplasty, and I really want to make sure I am making the right choice and I am not really sold on the doctors above. Therefore I am considering doing an additional consult with Dr. Davis and Dr. Schwartz. If anyone has any info on these South Florida doctors, I would LOVE to hear how about it. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Hey flnose, I had a consult with Dr. Davis and scheduled my surgery with him for January. Let there be NO doubt that he is the best nose doctor you can choose, especially if your from Florida(most of his patients travel from out of state or internationally) He is highly talented and you will likely leave the consultation feeling satisfied and confident. He has a big database of photos at his office so schedule a consult with him immediately because he is in high demand and you probably won't get in to see him for awhile.

I went to Dr. Schwartz and I am thrilled with my results! He did EXACTLY what I wanted..subtle, natural results that still looked like me. No complications, except for lots of swelling and bruising (I always bruise easily!). I drove back and forth to West Palm Beach from Orlando. Very happy with my decision and very impressed with my surgeon. Good luck!

That stinks you had to miss the consult! I took 1 week off from work for recovery, but honestly you'll feel fine after about 3 days. Usually your cast comes off a week after surgery so most people just take the full week off so they don't have to go into work with a big ole thing on their face haha.

You are lucky you live in Miami..A very high amount of his patients come from out of state(like me) or even internationally to have their surgery with him..even though it's more expensive it's definitely worth it for me to fly out first to consult and then have surgery at a later date(i'm in college so winter break is what i'm thinking)

Thank you. I have done a ton of research and so far Dr. Davis seems like the best. I am anxious to see what he says at the consult and hopefully he provides me aith digital imaging. However, until recently I honestly didn't think rhinoplasty was such a big deal until reading all of the stories on realself. At this point I am actually wondering if I want to have the surgery as the risks seem greater than the benefits. I am hoping Dr. davis puts me at ease.

Yeah it IS A biG DEAL! I made the mistake of just going with someone local and convenient..I didn't even think what I needed to have done was that hard(or would take a lot of work), however I found out the hard way that this is a SERIOUS mental error. It's too bad, I could have saved myself so much anguish had I just payed more to go to the best!

I am considering dr Davis for revision. I will say my original recovery was horrid!!! Surgeon really downplayed it the old " 7-10 days" line. Anyway I looked like a mac truck hit me. Whites of my eyes were completely red and It took months to go away. And to have a poor result after is very life changing. I NEVER would have done it if I would have know how much could go wrong. All I'm saying is really educate yourself. I didn't and truly regret it.

thanks i appreciate this. after this blog i am seriously doubting the procedure. I mean after all my nose isn't horrid. I am gonna post a better picture when I can take a nice one. The idea of something going wrong and no pun intended but me looking like MJ scares the daylights out of me. I think I may just keep my fathers nose. LOL! Maybe I will get a tt instead or something. But I will go to the consultation to see what he says. Mind you I have been waiting for about 2months and they haven't had any cancellations. Can I ask who did your original?

Thx. I had no odea the surgery was such a big deal. I didn't know recovery was so tough. Having second thoughts but I will still keep ky consult and see what the doctor says

For me, the cast and taping were off after ten days, so I would recommend ten days to two weeks to return to work. However, my bruising lasted an extremely long amount of time due to my thin skin around my eyes. My bruising lasted four weeks, but for most people by two weeks the bruising is unnoticeable with make up. Good luck!
