Prior to meeting with Dr. Perez-Gurri, I had had several consultations closer to home for my much wanted breast augmentation and abdominoplasty. After much thought, I decided to go head to Miami where there were plastic surgeons that did as many procedures in a week as many of the physician’s near me did in a month (or more). Because I live out of state, my consultation began first via email/phone. His staff was great and always extremely timely in getting back with me. I was able to schedule a time to come down and after meeting with several surgeons in the Miami area, I chose to go with Dr. Perez-Gurri. It was the best decision ever! During my consultation not only did he give me his expert opinion and answer all of my questions, he answered many questions that I had not even thought of previously despite my previous consults. I felt like he listened to everything that I was saying and understood what I wanted from my surgery. Following the consult and knowing that I absolutely wanted to move forward, I scheduled my surgery at the end of July. Prior to my return to Miami, I was in contact multiple times with his amazing staff to be sure that everything was in order and that any questions I had were answered (thanks Monica!). The day after my surgery Dr. Perez-Gurri came by the hotel to check on me, which was very much appreciated. I am not sure I would have felt like getting up and about. Again, he answered all of my questions and made sure I had a variety of phone numbers to contact him and his staff if I had any needs. The next week I met with him post-operatively to look at my incision sites and at that time I was given my compression garment and additional instructions. Once I got home I had several concerns and questions regarding how my healing was going and again his staff was great, answering all of my questions via email and phone. I received two additional follow-up calls just to check on me and make sure I was doing well. I am now 10 weeks out from my surgery and while the scars are still healing and I am still swollen (all normal!) I am ecstatic with the results and only wish I would have found Dr. Perez-Gurri a long time ago! If you haven’t met with him yet for your consultation, you need to make an appointment!!
