7 days before I board! A little nervous, but Exited!

7 days before I board & 8 days until my procedure... A little nervous, but Excited!

I'm pretty much prepared. I sent my deposit & confirmed my stay at Family Recovery House. Printed copies of my flight itinerary, printed copies of emergency contact numbers and addresses for CIPLA, RH, Airport, & US Embassy. Just waiting on someone to answer Dr. Duran's phone! She left for a 1 week vacation and my RS sister and I are trying to confirm our stay and ensure there have not been any changes. I'm trying back around 4pm. A little frustrating.

Staying away from Domingas RH! Should I book with Family RH???

After reading horror stories about Domingas & her sisters RH, which I can't remember the name of, I need to know if any RS sister stayed at Family recovery and what their experience was like. Please let me know. I'm paying my deposit tomorrow and leave in 8 days!!

9 days before I leave & 10 days before I have surgery!!!

So as of today I have 9 days before I fly out to Dominican Republic and 10 days before Surgery and my nerves are bad. Besides, trying to get my trip things in order I'm also trying to spend as much time with my family before I leave. The difficult part is being tired up with both work & school.

Anyway, I'm excited, but also nerves at what could go wrong. I've had to bad dreams less then a week apart. The first was off my two sons dieing & the other was of my mother had passed away with my deceased grandmother consoling me. I just pay to our father God that I'm making a good decision. My husband wants to be happy for me, but I can tell he's worried. He's the one who reminded me to spend more time with him & our kids, because he said anything could happen & I agree.

On happier news, received my passport yesterday by mail & it took less then a month, but I did pay for expedited shipping ($60 extra)

I've packed my luggage. I weighed it at Publix (they had a large size customer scale) and it weighed 25 pounds. Which is less then the first checked bag that Jetblue requires. Anything over 50 pounds is $100 extra per checked bag. Now I need to find a carry on bag for my supplies. My luggage is not huge and I packed pretty light compared to other RS girls, just essentials.

Here's what's in my checked bag:
1 maxi dress
2 sleeping pants (cotton)
7 tops (long, thin, cotton)
6 underwear...may pack more (only staying 8 days)
3 bras
2 pair fuzzy socks
2 pair compression socks (one to use on plane. Using both pairs after surgery. Paid less then $10 at Walmart diabetic isle)
2 pair sandals ( wearing closed sites on plane)
1 faja
50 pack Chux
1 hibiclens
2 box gauze
1 box sterile pads
1 roll medical tape
1 pack baby wipes
1 urinal (P-EZ)
Prilosac (for nausea)
Neosporin
stool softner
Tylenol Extra strength

1 case of travel size what pack of 8/ 8 ounce size (may have to unpack if airport denies this)

8 pack vitamins drink (like ensure but dollar general brand)

travel size body wash, shampoo, conditioner (may not use due to tt & can't risk infection)

Now this list may change if I decide not to take 50 pack Chux and only take half. I couldn't fit my boppy pillow so that will stay.

In my carryon:

Cell phone
Charger
Book
Spanish Dictionary for my RS sister
Mini blanket to use on plane and Cipla.
Travel size toothpaste, toothbrush, arnica, eye glass cleaner wipes, blood builder (all creams and liquids must be less then 3.1 ounce and fit in quart size zip lock bag).
Hairbrush
hairtyes
Passport
Money
Emergency contact numbers & addresses for RH, Cipla, & U.S. Embassy (leave one copy with family).

Copy of how I earned my surgery money incase customs or airport security tries to take it.

I think that's it, hopefully I don't forget anything I really need. If I forgot something you think I should definitely take, please feel free to let me know.
