Slow and steady

Hi friends, I'm 24_days post op (Gastric Plication procedure) and I've lost 11 pounds. (23 total pounds since pre op diet). I' m 5'8, 212 pounds.
My weight loss seems much slower than many of you, but this is nothing new for me. I was on solid liquids for 17 days post op and I'm now on soft foods. I follow the eating plan correctly. I get my protein and water in every day. I walk my dog almost 3 miles a day, and almost always log in the 10,000 steps on my pedometer. I have added Benefiber to my protein shakes due to constipation every few days. I have returned to work, feel great, and my clothes are loose. I have tolerated every stage quite well. I wish the scale were moving a bit faster, but I'm grateful to feel well as I move toward my goal. I would love to have feedback from anyone else who also experienced the 'slow but steady' weight loss. Thank you. : )

Thank you for the A+!

Let's talk about our breasts. : )

How many of you are considering breast implants when you reach your goal weight? I never had big breasts, so they stayed in decent shape even though I've had 3 children. I just turned 55 this week and I notice that my breasts are looking a little sad and I've only lost 17 pounds since my pre op diet. I am 8 days post op, on vacation, and I'm obviously letting my thoughts run wild. I have never been overly vain, I am happily married, and my husband has never had any complaints and I doubt he'll start now. Am I being goofy. I'm looking at the process as a personal and physical make over. I've dedicated my entire adulthood to my family. My youngest son is 19 now and I feel like it's my turn to sparkle again. Am I losing it? : ). Even though I'm a youngish 55, I can't help but wonder if that ship has sailed and I might be making a fool of myself. At this time, I know very little about breast implants.
I adore all of you and I am open to hearing your honest opinions. Thanks so much.

One week post op.

I'm headed out for a 45 minute walk. I started my pre surgery walking routine again yesterday. I've read many posts where people are eating soft foods by this point, but my doctor prefers only liquid for 17 days. I came home from surgery 2 pounds heavier. As of this morning I'm 2 pounds lighter than my surgery day weight. Seems like my loss is much slower than many of my friends here, but I'm optimistic. When I began walking 10 to 13 miles/week, about a year ago, I had only lost 2 pounds after 8 months. This has always been frustrating... No matter what, I know my gastric "Plication " will assist me. As of this morning I am 5'8" 219 pounds. Even if I lose slowly, I know I will never go up another size!
I'm cheering for all of you lovely people today. May your days be cheerful as you make your way through the process of regaining your health and choosing to do something awesome for yourself.

Dr. ARIEL ORTIZ at the Obesity Control Center in Mexico gets an A+ and a round of applause from me. Not only is he a skilled surgeon, he is a skilled people person. He treated me like family. He even invited my husband to join him for lunch when my surgery was finished and I was in recovery. His staff gets an A + as well.
