I am 24 years old, and just recently had a labiaplasty. I had the operation performed by a highly regarded gynaecologist. I was told everything went very well after the operation. I havent had much bleeding or pain.

I started to get an infection and am about four days into my antibitics. Things were looking good until today. I had a look and there was a lot of puss. Yesterday i put a little betadine on the parts that look like cuts, apart from that i have been ritually bathing in salt water.

Im just really worried that the skin isnt going to properly fuse back together, i feel like it look like its a bit disconnected but this may just be the swelling.

The main point of concern are the tips of the edges of the end of the incisions on each labia, the point where you can see the labia stitched back to my vagina (the most aggravated looking area)

Please give me some advice, the worst part of this thus far has been the anxiety surrounding the matter.

Does it look like its going to heal? Is the infection quite bad? and will the infection slow the healing process dramatically? I feel as though the stitches are about to start dissolving but i wish they were still holding everything together! How long does it usually take for the flesh to re-fuse? does alot of this come down to just waiting for the swelling to go down?

Alot of questions i know, but a response would be tremendously appreciated.
