So happy I went through with it! - Media, PA

I am a few days away from being a month post and things are going well. I notice slight changes in my nose everyday and the people that I see a lot also have noticed that it changes little by little. It really is a waiting game with this whole thing. The tip is still really hard and swollen and the swelling is a little uneven. Everyone tells me you can't tell that it is swollen from the profile but I can still really tell it's swollen from the front.

Some annoying things I am still dealing with are that my mouth is insanely dry when I wake up because my nose gets so congested when I sleep. Is this still happening for anyone else? I feel it's gets even more dry now then when I had the cast on so I've been trying to sleep kind of elevated which has helped a little.

I'm excited to finally be able to feel my whole nose and not have it be so hard. I know this varies for everyone but how long does it really take? I just try to ignore it for now.

I'll post some recent photos. I can tell my nose is probably not going to be perfectly straight even with the swelling gone but it is definitely much better then before! People were taking candid photos over the weekend of me which usually i dread!! But these I actually really love and I still can't believe it's my nose, it's such a good feeling to not really have to worry about that anymore. :)

Today I am two weeks post op. its crazy how fast time goes. I got the stitches out today that were inside of my nose. That was a little painful but it feels good to have them out, they were really starting to bother me. Life is pretty much back to normal except that I wake up with headaches almost every morning and sometimes they just don't go away. I've been taking advil which helps. I still have some congestion especially in the mornings but it gets better as the day goes on.

My nose still feels very swollen and is definitely still a little crooked so we'll have to see what happens about that. I love love my profile now its such a subtle change but its exactly what I wanted because I didn't want to look like a different person. Its crazy how many people don't notice I expected everyone too but I'm happy they don't in a way but also kinda disappointed if that makes and sense at all? The people close to me that see me almost everyday can tell so I guess thats what means the most! Being patient for the swelling to go down has been the hardest part. I have a bit more feeling in the tip now but its still pretty hard and numb!
