19 Year Old DDD- Breast Reduction - Mckinney, TX

I had this procedure done as I have dealt with a great deal of pain and discomfort, and setbacks having large breast. Often times, working out was an ordeal because sometimes 2 sports bras couldn't keep them from bothering me. Walking all day (I am a college student) would leave me in bed at night with a heating pad on my back. The surgery was very easy and relatively painless. It was outpatient, so my surgery was early Weenesday morning and I was home in bed resting by 4 that afternoon. The first week or so I felt pretty tired and lifeless but was never really in pain. For the first 6 days, I had a drain in each one. I had to empty them ~2/3 times a day. The drains came out The Tuesday following my surgery which was a simple little tug and they were gone! My breasts were sore, but no more than they would be if I had done an intense chest workout. They were pretty swollen for about 3 weeks but once that resided, the soreness did also. I had a few wounds open up along my incision sites, but they were never painful. I had one right below both nipples, which both healed in about 2 weeks. I had one larger one below my left breast which was a little more complicated. It took about 6 weeks for it to heal, and just some simple wound care. I left for vacation right at my 7 week mark, with a wound still there but with a waterproof band-aide there were no setbacks. I used a special gauze for about 3 weeks that really helped promote healing and closed the hole rapidly. Despite the couple of wounds, this surgery was a very easy and painless recovery. I am so happy and grateful with how things turned out. I'm now more comfortable in my clothes, body and mindset. It was one of the best decisions I've ever made.
