After years of trying to hide my body I finally decided to have a mommy makeover. I chose Dr Robert Turner of Winnipeg ,Mb. I was referred to him by another plastic surgeon in Winnipeg's nurse. She said if she was having one herself that she would use Dr Turner as she has seen his results verses other surgeons in Winnipeg, including the one she works for. I met Dr Turner along with his nurse, and office staff. They were all wonderful and I decided immediately I would be going with this Doctor. I went for my consult and booked my surgery the same day. I was able to book my surgery as quickly as 4 weeks from that date. Which set me up for the biggest change of my life on June12 2013. I was a little nervous as everything was happening so quickly and I still had another 10 lbs I wanted to lose before surgery, Which didn't happen. I'm 5'9 165 lbs with 36 B as my pre op measurements. I'm 32 years old and have 1 child who will be 13 this month. I'm happily married with 3 wonderful step sons and we've decided our family is perfect just the way it is so wont be having any more children. When I was pregnant with my daughter I gained 60 lbs and was over 200 after giving birth. Over the next 5 years I managed through diet and exercise to get down to my goal weight of 130. I was in excellent shape and with clothes on I looked amazing. Clothes off not so pretty. I was left with a huge flap of sagging skin, a belly button that u couldn't find , and a whole lot of missing out on things that I enjoyed as I was trying to always keep it hidden . I found that no matter what I did as far as exercise and diet this was never going away. After breast feeding and a large weight loss my breast were non existent . There to I was left with huge flaps of skin with nipples. I was uncomfortable being intimate with my husband or even changing in front of him. I'm so happy I've had this surgery it has really changed my life in so many ways. I feel better now than I have my entire life. Dr Turner is a truly amazing Doctor. He listened carefully to what my goals were going into surgery and far exceeded my expectations . My results are amazing as far as recovery, and healing not one complication or area of concern. I've been on this website for 2 months now. Obsessed with it actually as I see many of us are .. I've looked at a lot of pictures that are labelled excellent surgeon or great results ..only to look in the mirror and think that my surgeon is bar far the best of the best. I've also read about many complications or concerns with the scar, swelling ,belly button, uneven breasts, infections. I know not everybody is the same or heals the same. But with what Dr Turner had to work with on me, and what he accomplished I know that not only is he an artist, but a true perfectionist. Who better to have reshape your body then that. I went with 600cc silicone implants. Over muscle crease incision. My post op is a 36 DD exactly the size I wanted. I'm now 5 weeks post op and feeling great . I will post pics very soon. It's worth every penny and every ounce of pain, which is very manageable.
