Looking back

Looking back on my older reviews, I realize how much of a nightmare my experience was but I'm grateful that I am alive to tell my story. Not to sound dramatic but I read about some recent cases about women dying during surgery. YIKES! I have two kids to raise, so i feel for their loved ones. I remember waking up during my procedure yelling. I remember the liposuction tool feeling hot like it was burning me and then I was back out. My sister still talks about how after they got me in the car, Matteo asked her did she have a cigarette and then checked her car for one lol what? I guess he was stressed out! Idk. When she first told me I was a little out of it so I didn't believe her lol but she still tells that story. Overall, he seemed like a nice guy to me. His staff was nice too. I really wish I would've went to a board certified surgeon who had a lot more experience and could educate me on the risks and expectations of liposuction. I wish I had less scar tissue and didn't have this scar where the burn was located. It's like a hard dent on the right side my tummy where it used to be. The bottom of my tummy isn't flat anymore like it was 4 months out. It started softening and sagging I think like around 10 months to a year. Luckily, when I have clothes on you can't see it. I remember back then being happy when the swelling went down. The scar had healed and my clothes were fitting much better. The hardest part was over. I just didn't realize the results were temporary. I was so focused on looking better in my clothes smh silly me lol Anyway, I'm alive and well. I don't mean to complain but just give an update.

So... it's been a few years

It's been a few years since my last update. Since then, the scar has no feeling (it's still numb to the touch) but my skin around it is hard. The bottom of my tummy, which appeared to be hard and much flatter at the time I uploaded my last pics has now become soft and droopy. Smh I should've just saved enough money for a tummy tuck or better yet, exercised. If my stomach wasn't going to be flatter and was going to end up drooping, what was the point? You live and you learn, right? I will only visit a board certified plastic surgeon from here on out and advise anyone looking to get a procedure done to do their research. I went from being a little insecure about my tummy, to trying to keep it (the scar) covered during intercourse. It's a constant reminder that things can be much worse. I felt like I was happy with my results, even after the burns and infection because I wasn't expecting my tummy to droop 10-18 months later. Smh Wow! Thinking back, my whole experience was a nightmare. I wore my garment for months and my tummy still dropped and I'm constantly reminded because of the scars. What was i thinking? Since then I visited another surgeon who told me I have so much scar tissue around my navel and flanks, that I should have it removed. Ugh! At the time when I researched Matteo, there were barely any reviews. Sometimes, little or no reviews isn't a good thing either. Just be careful. It's a lot of people performing these procedures who shouldn't be.

4 Month Review! ! !

Exactly 4 months ago today, I decided to have the liposuction procedure with Dr. Matteo Taerri and I'm so glad I did! I look great in dresses, & high waist pants now. No more pain, the lumps have gone away, the burns have gone away (see scars in pics), I'm just happy! I read my reviews from April and I really wish It would've been different but I respect the process & it wasn't easy, but Im finally seeing the results I thought I would hop off the table seeing 4 months ago lol I heard I will see results up to 1 year! Bring it on! I'm about to start a new diet & workout plan so that should help me achieve great results as well. I've always wanted to be a nicely shaped full figured woman. I have no regrets :-)

UPDATE 2019: Almost a year after lipo my tummy began to loosen and sag at the bottom. If you read my reviews you will see that my reviews are mixed. It goes from frightening stories, to a positive outcome to yet the frightening conclusion. I wish my review could be less complicated but I rather tell the ugly truth than tell a beautiful lie. If you're considering liposuction or tummy tuck, please take your time and do your research.
