I'm on my second Fraxel treatment. My first one was over a year ago and due acne I had to stop and go on accutane. I have noticed slight improvement after my first treatment and now I'm on day 2 of my second fraxel treatment. My Doctor was very aggressive and went over my face 10x's on high. It was very painful and my face is very swollen.

I finished my 2nd Fraxel and my face was very red and swollen for about 3 days. I had 10 passes done on my face and it was very painful. My face was red for a few weeks, but after a week it was much better! About 2 months later I saw some slight improvement to my skin texture. I know it will take at least 6 months to see full effect, and several more Fraxels.
About 2 weeks ago I had my 3rd Fraxel done. My doctor went on the highest setting and did 14 passes. It was painful but she had 2 people blow air on my face so it made the experience better. My face was swollen for about 3 days, really red for about a week and very dry. Without makeup you can still see the redness on my face. My facial texture seems to be improving but it's a very slow process and staying optimistic. I was told I would need 6 Fraxels because of my acne scars. I will be setting up my 4th Fraxel next week!

It's been a few months since my last fraxel, I have noticed a slight improvement and I have noticed my self esteem has increased as well. I have a light redness under my eyes that's noticeable when not wearing makeup. I go in for my 4th fraxel tomorrow.

I am about 2 weeks out from my 4th fraxel. It was painful and my face swell up just like the other times before. My face is till slightly red but hard to notice with makeup. I felt I would see a bigger difference in my skin texture by now...I know that it takes up to 6 months after you last treatment to see full results. My acne scars are still visible especially to me. I do see an improvement but not as significant as I would of liked. I decided to take a few months before I do my 5th fraxel so my skin has time to fully heal.
That sounds like a good plan to just give your skin a chance to heal. I will keep my fingers crossed that in 6 months you will notice positive changes in your skin.
