looking for a good surgeon to do mid face lift

Can't wait to do this ! Thank you everyone for your posts of pics and opinions. They have been a real help to me!

What I didnt like the most about it was that it...

What I didnt like the most about it was that it was run like a McDonald's franchise. I was agressively sold on this procedure and I was pushed through the procedure very quickly and rushed. I didnt meet my surgeon until the day of surgery. In fact, not till the surgeon walked through the door to do my surgery had I met her. I was assured this was normal and an every day occurance. I didn't know how long the scar would be and in fact was led to believe it would be a very small scar in FRONT of the ear.  It is not. It is a long insision that goes from in front of my ear to the back of my ear almost into my hair line behind. The pain was bad, much worse than anticipated. I was hurting and unable to work for 3 weeks to a month. After my surgery I never again saw my surgeon. I had my stitches removed about 2 weeks later. Had to come back a few times because they were not ready to be removed. I did everything they told me to do to the letter. I dont smoke, drink or anything negative to myself to affect my outcome. I stopped all medications they told me to before. I wanted a very small amount of jowling fixed and thought this would be the thing for me. They told me this would work, and that at first I wouldn't notice a huge difference, but that I should wait around  4 months to see the final result.  I was told the collegen had been broken down and had to have time to rebuild and it would "draw my face upwards" This never happened.  After the initial swelling went down(couple months) I had no visible difference in how I looked.  I do have a scar(not too awful now as it's been 3 years) and I have nerve damage upper face section by my eyes somehow.  Any temp change causes massive headaches, and any loud noises will cause that area to ache and throb.   This is how it's been since the day of surgery, I have no doubt this is how it will always be. My advice is this ..save your money, go to a surgeon who specializes in a LOT of different facial procedures and not just the one.  Even though it may not be a lot of money to most people, $3,800  was/is a lot to me.
