Tray #4

After having tray #3 in for an extra five days because my dentist went out of town I finally got trays 4-7 today. Wasn't scheduled for more IPR until tray #8 but he decided to go ahead with that today. Wasn't super happy but he says this is the last of it so fu gets crossed nothing changes! Only two teeth shaved today but the gaps from last time still haven't closed on top so I'm a little wary! He keeps assuring me they will close towards the end but we all know what that doubt feels like! Also side note, today is Monday and I had a cleaning last Thursday with a flouride treatment. The hygienist assured me that putting my trays back in after would be fine and that it should just brush out later....not the case. My teeth definitely had a good half day with that flouride so close and protected from my saliva so it was a good thing in that aspect BUT it would NOT come out of my trays. Thankfully it's clear and you couldn't see it with the trays in however you can feel it and see it stuck in the trays like plaque when they were out. I tried about every cleaning trick I could find and it still stuck like glue. Next time I'll forgo the trays going right back in after flouride. Today is tray four though and I can feel the pressure! Nothing unbearable and I'm glad that I'm feeling something because tray three wasnt bad at all. Looking forward to the end product! I did notice however that after my IPR one of my teeh on the bottom is misshapen. I'm not sure if he meant to do that but will definitely have him file it straight before this is all said and done. All things considered this process is going well!

Annoyed

Had an appointment with my ortho to have another cleaning (recommended one ever four months as opposed to six with invisalign) and get more trays. Yesterday his office calls me and says he will be out of town until the following Monday and thus I will have to wear tray three for an extra five days!!! I am already more than ready to change my trays after the first week so this is torture for me. Anyone not using acceledant changing trays faster than every two weeks? I understand teeth need to move slowly however I think wearing the trays for two weeks is too much. I've been perusing the sight and was relieved after reading some of the attachment horror stories. So far no dis coloring or real issues with my attachments. My mouth has grown quite tough and they barely bother me anymore. I do however feel I'm shredding through toothbrushes pretty quickly. Also toothpaste does tend to get stuck in the grooves when I brush my aligners with it. Vigorous rinsing is then necessary. Anyone used a mouthwash with their aligners? I've read they don't do so well with colors but anyone know of any that work well? I've just been using peroxide and water and toothpaste but I've been considering soaking them in mouthwash so they stay fresher longer. I can't stand that weird stale mouth feeling! I still don't see too much movement but a few girls in my class have pointed out that my teeth are changing so maybe there is hope yet!

Almost forgot!

Had a weird lisp throughout the entire tray two experience and now it's suddenly gone with tray three. Anyone else experience selective tray impediments? Lol
