5 days post op

At day 2 PO, I developed a rash, was gettitng headaches and was flushing on my chest, so I stopped the narcotic pain med called Nucynta thinking this might be the cause. I called the doctor as well. Turns out the rash was a reaction to the surgical prep solution. You can see in some of the photos where it stops abruptly. It was all over my torso where they painted it on me. It was red, bumpy in places and itchy. I recalled this happening to me when I got my belly button pierced many years ago and was given a surgical scrub to clean it. So beware, some people do have a reaction to the surgical cleaning solution. I didn't shower till 3 days post-op, I'm sure that didn't help matters. So, shower as soon as you can to get that stuff off you! My breasts were not the same size before, who's are, right? So Dr. Capek tried to even them out. I got Natrelle Inspira Soft touch textured implants. 275 cc in the left breast, 255 cc in the right breast. These were placed Sub-Glandularly per my request. I didn't want to go through the extra pain and recovery time of sub-pectoral. And I also wanted them to look more natural and not up to my clavical. I also work out and wanted to be able to get back to it asap.

My tummy really took a beating after 3 children in 4 years. I was always thin, so when I got pregnant, I was all belly. Never gained more then 35 lbs., but it all went to my stomach. My stretch marks were way over my belly button and alot of sagging beneath it. Breasts look deflated on top. I was very self conscious of my stomach, especially after separating from my husband and starting a relationship with a new man. I work out 4 days a week, and the rest of my body is in pretty good shape. There was no helping my stomach though, no amount of sit ups, crunches, leg lifts, etc., was going to do anything for that. So I finally made the decision to do it. My breasts weren't that bad, but after nursing 3 children they look kind of look deflated on top. My eyelids were very heavy and they're only going to get worse with time, I know this because I have an older sister with the same problem, hers are much worse, so I could see what I was headed for. Might as well do everything at once. Didn't like the first plastic surgeon I went to, so I kept looking. I like Dr. Capek very much, I think I just prefer women doctors, I think they understand women's issues better and I'm more comfortable with them. Keep shopping until you feel comfortable. Here are my before photos. I'll post the afters in another post.

Dr. Capek is very honest and supportive. She gave me all the time I needed and answered all my questions. She didn't try to sugar coat anything and was very up front and honest. Her staff were all very pleasant. Any phone calls I made were returned promptly and with answers. I'm only 12 days post op now, so will update the after care and follow rating at a later date.
