I am a 39 yearr old African American woman and mother of four. I am 5ft 1 and I weigh 116lbs. For as long as I can remember I have wanted to have breast augmentation. I knew I wanted to wait until after I had my children to do it and now the time has come. I began doing serious research in November and had scheduled appointments with several different doctors. All of the ones I visited seemed nice but there was still just something that wasn't sitting well with me when I met them.

I came across Dr Pousti's website and I was feeling really hopeful. All of the reviews that I read on his site were wonderful. But I still needed to see for myself. When I came in for my consultation the staff made me feel completely at ease. I need to give a big shout out to Daisy. She is awesome. When I met with Dr Pousti I had a lot of questions. I think he liked that. He answered all of my questions and assured me that he would take good care of me. He even let me know that if I decided not to go with him the things that I should look for in a qualified surgeon.

They took pictures of me for my records and did this really cool Vectra 3-d imaging that showed me approximately what my results would look like. They let me meet a couple of other patients that had already had there surgery. The patients were so nice too. I know that this might seem weird but it wasn't so bad. The other patients let you look at there results and you can even touch them to see what it feels like if they are ok with it of course. I felt like that was really helpful.

I have to say that all of the reviews that i read before I went there almost seemed to good to be true. But they are all true. I left that appointment knowing that Dr Pousti was going to be my doctor. It was a pretty emotional experience for me because I knew that I was going to finally have my surgery after years of dreaming about this and that I was in extremely capable hands.

I had my BA done on April 7th 2014. I was a little nervous about the surgery a couple of days before and really had to keep myself busy so that I wouldn't freak out. But on the day of surgery I was ready to go. We had discussed approximately what size I wanted to be at my pre-op appointment ( I wanted to be a full C cup), but we did not stress of the cc's. Oh side note, make a poster board of what you like and what you don't like. I looked at lots of pictures of boobs. I had about 10 different pics of likes and dislikes. Dr Pousti will take that poster into surgery and reference what you want and don't want. He will make notes on it before you go in. I found a trifold poster board a the the dollar store in case you were wondering. Anyway, he let me know that he has every size implant ever made so he will put in sizes first and then put in the correct cc for the look I was going for. I ended up with Sientra High profile 405cc's and the look amazing. Dr Pousti does his surgeries at a surgery center and the staff there was amazing. They kept me relaxing and comfortable throughout the process. I usually get really sick after anesthesia but the anesthesiologist was right there after my surgery was over to give me the medication that I needed to keep that from happening.

I think that I have a pretty high tolerance for pain so I am going to say that my recovery was fairly easy. Day one I slept quite a bit. I can't stress how important it is to stay on top of your pain medication and no lifting of any kind. Daisy from Dr Pousti's office called me everyday for the fisrt week and about every other day for the next week and a half to make sure that I was doing okay. She is the bomb! After a week I was back to driving but I was also off pain medication. Back to work after 2 weeks. I have steri-strips over my incision site and Dr Pousti advised me to keep them on for a full six week. Being African American and also having keloid this is the best thing to make sure that my scars heal well. They will be coming off on Monday. Yesssss! Well so far this is my journey. I couldn't be happier with my results. I feel confident and feminine and sexy. This was a huge and scary decision to have this surgery, but it was the best decision I could have made.
