I'm in a size 4!

I found out today that I would be escorting the corporate "boss" around town on Monday to do some marketing and schmoozing. So I ran out to pick up a suit and jacket. I'm a nurse, not a banker. Sheesh. I found out 6's are Way too big in the waist and thighs and the 4s were perfect! So I'm officially down a size :) finding a size 4 for 5'9" sucks.

The sensitivity in my abdomen, back, butt and thighs is slowly diminishing but still present. And I can still feel the very prominent muscle repair sutures but they aren't painful any longer. Next weekend I've been told to start weaning off the CG and I can also start cardio ( and my surgeon understands this to be 8 miles hikes into the cascades... can't wait!) Unless I swell up. Then I can wait.

I was reading some posts and lots of talk about the compression garments today. I'm attaching photos of my garment since i like it so much. It's crotchless and oh so convenient (I have panties on over for sake of the photo) and the sides have hooks and zippers. It's super easy to get into and out of and doesnt bunch or ride.

Three weeks and starting to feel normal

I had my 3 week check today and things went well. I was told in 10 days I can start cardio and decrease my garment use to part time. I can't wait. I completely miss doing sit ups and I was told I can try at 5 weeks but likely won't be too successful til after 7 weeks.

I still feel bruised everywhere but the actual bruises are finally gone. And the sensitivity in my belly, legs and butt are finally receding.

Work is Crazy when I need it to be anything but! We were just sold and today and tomorrow our offices are being physically moved, by us. I have over 300 patients and 60 employees all looking to me for direction, and I just want to go home and take a nap...lol.

I included a close up of my BB since they are so hard to find. The last of my scab/dissolveable stitches fell off today. I'm not sure how I feel about the tape being off either. Oh, and I asked about the diastasis repair and they insisted that they are always done from sternum to pubis. So this may explain why I was such a wimp the first two weeks! All in all 1 lb of tissue was removed during surgery, pretty much all flabby tummy.

Sleepless nearly in Seattle.

I can't sleep. I think it's my internal time clock but it could be my body fighting back, but my sleep pattern has sucked since surgery. I took a little nap today after I ran an errand and slept til early afternoon. It just doesn't seem fair. Some days I sleep 15 hours and others I'm lucky to get two in. And my alarm clock goes off at 0500 for my first day back to work tomorrow. Ugh. On a bright note I will be able to wear my own clothes, so long as it doesn't show off my 3 month pregnant-looking swollen belly! But heck, why not start a little office rumor..lol.
I still can't see my incision with the tape covering, but I can see frankenbutton. Anybody else worried about their new little member? The redness is down but the incision is quite visible and a little thicker superiorly. I like frankenbutton overall, looks realistic, but worried about the final incision appearance.
