Hi all!
Yesterday I had a BBL and BA with Dr. Troell at Athenix in Irvine. Dr. Troell is AMAZING! Has great bedside manners and knows his stuff. I originally wanted 800 Cc implants, but I could only fit 675 cc.
Choosing surgeon: I had gone to six consultations hoping to find someone who was comfortable doing XL implants without a lift. My breasts were already a 36 DD, but after weight loss and just age I felt they looked like pancakes. EVERY surgeon had something different to say, but Dr. Troell was BY FAR the most knowagable, and took the time going over everything thing with me. We paid the down payment and BAM, I scheduled my surgery for January 9th, 2018.
PreOp: took my weight and prescribed me medicine. Dr, Troell marked me up and went over everything. I felt so comfortable in his hands. (My dad had a facelift by him the month prior) he explained the BA. He might not be able to fit in the 800 cc implants, but would shoot for 725 cc moderate plus. I definitely trusted his judgement. As far as the BBL I was getting lipo in my inner thighs, litter thighs, flanks, full abdomen, hips, bra roll, and the area under the armpit, like where you bra goes. Practically my entire back. I was so ready to get this done and over with. I knew the recovery was going to be rough, but I was so ready!
Day of surgery: I was scheduled to be there by 6:30 AM. My boyfriend dropped me off and I was ready to be under the anthesia and go back to sleep! The nurse gave me three different liquids through my IV, then the Anesthesiologist came in and went over a few things. Next Dr. Troell came in and marked me alllllll up. Next thing I knew. I was getting a light sedation. Walked over to the OR table and was OUT. The dreams I had during surgery were soooo vivid! I remember waking up and being like wtf I was just somewhere else. My pain after my surgery was a 10/10z my nipples were on FIRE! They gave me as much pain medicine as possible through the IV. I instantly felt better. Unfortunealty, the largest implant he could fit into my breasts were 675 cc moderate plus. I was not upset at all, since I trust his judgement 100%. Next thing I know my boyfriend was there to pick me up. I was wheeled out and on our way home. Luckily we live about 3 miles from Athenix.
First day at home: Lordy Lordy was I in PAIN! 20 out of 10 forsure. I thought I was dying. My boobs hurt wayyyy more than any of my lipo areas. I was pretty groggy, so I don't remember much. I slept on the couch on my booty pillow the rest of the day. I was prescribed Percocet and I probably took ten yesterday I was in so much pain. I took a little walk at the end of the night, and honestly it felt really good to get up and move. I had purchased a full body pillow to help me sleep at night. I have to sleep on my sides due to my BA and BBL at the same time. Omg I started crying when I laid down on my side my boobs hurt sooooooo bad. It was miserable. After about 30 minutes in bed I had my boyfriend help me to sleep on the couch. Thank god we have electric reclining chairs! When sleeping on my side my boobs shift and it is so painful, when I lay upwards there is zero pain. I slept with my booty pillow and my dog on my lap. I was leaking fluids everywhere! For some reason he didn't want to put drains in me, so it's like Niagra Falls. I woke up at about midnight having to pee, so my boyfriend had to wake up and help me to the restroom. Thank god for my urianal. I got the Pstyle off of amazon. At about 3 am I woke up again. My nipples were burning soooo bad! My poor boyfriend had to get up again to get my pain medicine. Let me tell you, you NEED someone to help you. You cannot do this alone. After that I woke up about every hour on the hour. Not so much in pain, just not comfortable from sleeping upright on the couch.
Day two: I woke up at about 7:30 due to our dogs wanting to go on their walk. My body is soooo sore today. My inner though, my incisions in my abdomen, my back, boobs, and my armpits where he made incisions to suck out my bra fat. I got up bad walked for about 10 minutes. It felt amazing! I definitely recomend walking as much as possible. I have my post op appointment at 3:30 today! I will update later tonight!

Dr. Troell is an AMAZING surgeon. He knows his stuff and is very confident in his work. I cannot compare his bedside manners to anyone else . He keeps in constant contact with you by his cell phone to make sure you are 100% satisfied and comfortable. I would recommend anyone to this Dr. My dad had actually had a facelift, necklift, cheek implants, and dysprort in his forehead by him in December and he looks GREAT!
